Vivo V20 Pro review:&nbsp;It’s Déjà vu! Only a few weeks back I wrote that if design was the only criteria to buy a smartphone, the Vivo V20 would have beaten competition hands down, at least in 2020. Now, the Vivo V20 Pro is here, making things more interesting. Flaunting a similar body, the new smartphones comes with a superior processor and few other upgrades at slightly higher price point.&nbsp;&nbsp;

With Vivo V20 Pro, the smartphone maker continues to play big on camera capabilities while using the Snapdragon 765 processor that adds support for 5G. This makes the V20 Pro a handful of smartphones to offer 5G connectivity in India, especially in the mid-range segment. Priced at Rs 29,990, the smartphone competes with the likes of OnePlus Nord, Samsung Galaxy M51, Google Pixel 4a and Redmi K20 Pro, among others.&nbsp;&nbsp;

For some, it may even come down to choosing between the Vivo V20 and the V20 Pro. We have been using the smartphone for few days now and here is our Vivo V20 Pro review.

<h2>Vivo V20 Pro review: Design&nbsp;</h2>

It’s nearly impossible to differentiate the two smartphones if you keep the V20 Pro next to the V20. The only thing that gives it away is the ‘5G’ branding the Pro model flaunts. The smartphone comes with a charming back panel and is available in two colour options - Midnight Jazz and Sunset Melody. The first is 7.39mm thick which makes it one of the slimmest smartphones of the year.&nbsp;

We had the Sunset Melody variant for review purposes which is 10mm thicker but is still a lot slimmer than most smartphones these days. It is a delight to hold and use. Above this, the smartphone weighs just 170 grams – which is highly impressive given the hardware used on the device.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The back panel uses a AG Matte Glass with an AF coating which protects the phone from fingerprint smears. The panel has shades of pink, purple, and orange as well. These keep switching as light falls from different directions. It makes the smartphone look absolutely gorgeous.&nbsp;&nbsp;

On the top right corner, you get a triple rear camera module which also houses an LED flash. The volume and power buttons are on the right while at the bottom, you get a Type-C USB charging port. To keep the phone thing, the headphone jack has been sacrificed. Vivo has also positioned the buttons well, keeping them in reach for a single hand use.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The only real issue I could find with V20 Pro’s design is that it is very slippery, just like its sibling. Slippery to the extent that it can glide off any surface. So, you will have to be very careful to not drop and damage the phone.&nbsp;&nbsp;

<h2>Vivo V20 Pro review: Display&nbsp;</h2>

Not much changes on the front as well. You get a similar 6.44-inch AMOLED display with a 20:9 aspect ratio and full-HD+ resolution. This is complemented by HDR10 support and a peak brightness of 600 nits.&nbsp;

It’s phones like the V20 Pro that make you appreciate AMOLED displays and help understand the difference from LCD panels. It’s a beautiful screen with some solid colour reproduction. Even the default wallpaper on the V20 Pro looks stunning.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The company has kept the borders really thin and the bezel at the bottom is also not that thick. What remains to be a mystery though is the dewdrop notch on top which we also saw on the V20. Only this time it has got wider and houses two front cameras. It definitely interferes in your usage.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Lastly, Vivo sticks with a 60Hz panel and this could be the dealbreaker, if gaming is your priority. The OnePlus, which is priced lower, comes with a 90Hz panel while the Realme X3 offers a 120Hz screens for almost a similar price.&nbsp;&nbsp;

<h2>Vivo V20 Pro review: Cameras&nbsp;</h2>

The camera set up at the back is same as what you get on the Vivo V20. It comprises of a 64-megapixel primary sensor with an f/1.89 lens, an 8-megapixel secondary multi-function sensor with an f/2.2 which can be used for both ultra-wide and macro shots, and a 2-megapixel monochrome sensor with an f/2.4 lens.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The camera app is very neat and offers modes like Photo, Portrait, Night, Video, etc. The camera features include Motion Autofocus, Eye Autofocus, Body/Object Autofocus, Super Night Mode, Super Wide Angle Night Mode, Tripod Night Mode, Ultra Stable Video, Art portrait video, Super Macro, Bokeh Portrait, Multi-Style Portrait, AR Stickers and 3D Sound Tracking.&nbsp;

The auto-focus on the V20 Pro is really impressive. It quickly locks on the subject. The primary camera does an excellent job of clicking images in both day and night. It captures good number of details with near-true colours. In some cases, the images were slightly warmer but were passable.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The portrait shots on the V20 Pro are stunning as well. The edge detection is top class and the background is not compromised either. In fact, I managed to capture a lot of wallpaper-worthy images on the V20 Pro.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

The major upgrade happens on the front where you now get an additional 8-megapixel lens along with the usual 44-megapixel selfie shooter that includes an f/2.0 autofocus lens on top. The selfies look good in both standard and portrait mode. I really like the fact that the V20 Pro doesn’t soften the skin tone, a crime most mid-range smartphones tend to commit.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The front camera is capable of recording 4K as well as slow-mo videos. It also gets the Dual Video mode which allows you to shoot from the front and rear camera at the same time. This can be really handy in some situations.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Another new addition is the Double Exposure which lets you click selfies by superimposing the background on it. This is a feature that not every smartphone buyer will end up using but definitely gives more options to content creators and photography enthusiasts.&nbsp;&nbsp;

<h2>Vivo V20 Pro review: Performance&nbsp;</h2>

The Vivo V20 Pro runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G SoC, which is paired with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. This is the same chipset that also powers OnePlus Nord – currently the fan favourite in the sub-Rs 30,000 segment. This processor makes your phone 5G ready for whenever the technology comes to India.&nbsp;&nbsp;

It is also probably the biggest upgrade on the Vivo V20 which came with a Snapdragon 720G processor. A more powerful processor should definitely appeal to more users. It is more than capable of handle daily tasks and can even survive heavy-graphical games like Call of Duty: Mobile and Asphalt 9.&nbsp;

Having said that, there are others in the same segment like Redmi K20 Pro and Realme X50 Pro which come with better chipsets and are capable of delivering better performance as well.&nbsp;&nbsp;

For gamers, there is an updated Ultra Game Mode which allows you to block notifications of SMS and all other apps for minimized disturbances; enabled Accidental Touch Prevention to ensure precise control; and lock the brightness to enjoy the optimal visual effects. However, almost all brands are now offering gaming modes like these.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Surprisingly, the Vivo V20 Pro runs FunTouch OS 11 based on Android 10, unlike the Vivo V20, which was one of the first to come with Android 11 out-of-the-box. The smartphone maker says that the latest version of Android will be provided through an OTA update. As I mentioned in V20 review, the OS has come a long way since I first used it but still requires some work.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The Vivo V20 Pro packs a 4,000mAh battery, just like the V20. It also comes with the same 33W FlashCharge charger bundled in the box for quick charging. It is capable of taking you through a busy work day.

<h2>Vivo V20 Pro review: Final Verdict&nbsp;&nbsp;</h2>

There is no doubt that Vivo V20 Pro is one of the most eye-catching smartphones of 2020. I will go on to say that the smartphone is so slim and well-crafted that it is satisfying to hold in hands. I had said that if “the V20 was an employee, it would be the one who wears the most glamorous clothes to workplace, has a glowing face and each hair strand styled using the most potent hair spray.”&nbsp;

The Vivo V20 Pro is the employee V20 is trying to impress.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The camera system is the biggest stand out here and clicks some really good images. The battery is more than enough and performance is as good as any other smartphone in this segment. The only thing I will rate both OnePlus Nord and Google Pixel 4a is the better Android experience they offer.&nbsp;

Thankfully, Vivo has priced the smartphone very aggressively. And, the decision eventually comes down to your personal preference.

Vivo V20 Pro review: Hard to take your eyes off this one 

Nokia 2.4 review: There was a time when smartphones were competing only on the hardware front. Customers would look and compare spec sheets before spending. That is changing fast. The Indian consumer is more aware than ever and seeks a good software experience as much as it values the hardware. Honestly, there are few Android brands that offer this. Nokia, a veteran in the smartphone industry, is one of them.&nbsp;&nbsp;

HMD Global recently launched its third smartphone of 2020 in India – Nokia 2.4 – betting big on clean Android experience while opting for modest specs. Priced at Rs 10,399, the smartphone aims to bring a large screen experience with stock Android in budget category. I have been using the phone for close to a week and here’s our review of the same.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

<h2>Nokia 2.4 review: Design and Display&nbsp;&nbsp;</h2>

Just like most budget smartphones, Nokia 2.3 comes with plastic unibody with a textured matte finish that keeps fingerprint smudges away. Despite using plastic, Nokia has ensured that the phone doesn’t look or feel cheap. It’s a well built and good-looking smartphone. It comes in three colour options - Charcoal, Dusk, and Fjord colour options. We had the last for review purposes. It sits somewhere between a mix of blue and green and looks absolutely gorgeous in daylight.&nbsp;

The back panel houses a vertically-aligned dual rear camera module, fingerprint scanner and Nokia branding. The look is somewhat spoiled by the manufacturing information given at the bottom. The company has tried to blend the text with the phone but it can be unpleasant to eyes at times.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The phone is tall, thanks to the 20:9 aspect ratio display. You get the usual volume and power keys around the side panels along with a dedicated button for Google Assistant. Nokia has included a 3.5mm headphone jack but has opted for the micro USB port instead of the more popular Type-C.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Flip it around and you get a 6.5-inch HD+ LCD display and this is the first thing you would want to consider before spending on this smartphone. This is means everything you watch on the Nokia 2.4 will be played at 720p. In the times of 4K content, this surely feels outdated. Now, some users may argue otherwise and might manage to live with it but 10 to 12 months later, this will surely be a major issue.&nbsp;&nbsp;

In daily use, there is no problem with the display. It is bright, smooth and colours look good as well.&nbsp;&nbsp;

<h2>Nokia 2.4 review: Cameras&nbsp;</h2>

If you like numbers, the Nokia 2.4 don’t have many to impress. The company is offering a dual rear camera setup which comprises of a 16-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel depth camera. This seems really mediocre when compared with what Xiaomi and Realme are offering on their budget smartphones.&nbsp;&nbsp;

However, Nokia hasn’t done a bad job either. Its software tuning allows you to click some stunning images even with this setup. In fact, I had some harsh feedback on the company’s last smartphone – Nokia 5.3 – and it’s good to see that this one performs well in the camera department.&nbsp;

In daylight, the Nokia 2.4 takes bright and really good photos. The colours are true and in most cases, sharpness was on top-notch. It’s only when you zoom into these images, you find out that details aren’t that great. Most distant objects are poorly captured. Also, portrait mode needs some work. In many cases, it fails to blur the entire background.&nbsp;

On the front, you get a 5-megapixel camera which again, does a decent job in daylight. The selfies I clicked in the normal mode were pleasant. You can see that the front camera doesn’t play much with your skin tone too. It’s the background management which is a bit of a let-down, especially in portrait mode. The background is overexposed, ruining the portrait selfies.&nbsp;&nbsp;

<h2>Nokia 2.4 review: Performance&nbsp;&nbsp;</h2>

Nokia 2.4 uses an almost two-year-old MediaTek Helio P22 chipset and comes in only one variant - 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The latter can be expanded to 512GB via a micro SD card. Needless to say, this isn’t the combination a tech-savvy buyer would be looking at. But, the world would have been so much different if everyone was using mobile phones to play games.&nbsp;&nbsp;

For example, this chipset works almost fine for my mother. She won’t be spending on the smartphone to play Call of Duty. It’s the add-free stock Android experience she craves for. However, 64GB internal storage is a bigger problem. A basic smartphone user runs out of storage faster and Nokia could have gone for 128GB ROM.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Coming back to the processor, it allows you to text, read, stream videos and browse the internet with ease. You don’t feel any lags or heating issues at all. Again, I will underline that this isn’t the phone if performance is what you seek. So, don’t buy if gaming is the priority.&nbsp;

Moving to the biggest highlight of this smartphone, Nokia 2.4 comes with Android 10 out-of-the-box but is Android 11 ready and the company promises two years of Android and monthly security updates. This is what keeps Nokia alive and should be your reason to spend on the Nokia 2.4. It is one of the cleanest Android smartphones I have used. There is 0 bloatware or adds which enhances your overall experience.&nbsp;&nbsp;

<h2>Nokia 2.4 review: Battery&nbsp;</h2>

Nokia 2.4 packs a generous 4500mAh battery which the company claims is optimised to last for two days with medium usage. I mostly used the phone to click photos, watch some YouTube videos etc and managed to get around 34 to 36 hours of battery. The challenge is there is no support for fast charging and the micro USB port takes time to juice up the device. So, patience is what you will need.&nbsp;&nbsp;

<h2>Nokia 2.4 review: Final verdict&nbsp;</h2>

Expectations can often make or break a smartphone. I had very little from the Nokia 2.4. As it turns out, it performs better than that. However, Nokia 2.4 is an out and out a budget smartphone. It feels and performs like that too. There are things you will appreciate – a decent battery, solid build quality and clean Android experience. There are others that feel sub-standard – processor, display and front camera.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The best I can say about the Nokia 2.4 is that this is a smartphone you should not ignore despite all the limitations. Yes, there are better options available in the market at the same price. Yet, almost none of them solve the OS problem like Nokia 2.4. At the end of the day, it is a mixed bag that can be considered for a clean Android experience.

Continuing with its ban orders on apps that have links with China, the Indian government on Tuesday blocked 43 new mobile apps, including shopping website AliExpress owned by e-commerce behemoth Alibaba. Other popular apps that have been banned include WeWorkChina, CamCard and Snack. These apps have been banned by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) for engaging in activities which are "prejudicial to the sovereignty and integrity of the country, defence, security of the state and public order".&nbsp;

The move has been welcomed by the Indian developers who expect more similar actions going forward. Varun Saxena, Founder and CEO, Bolo Indya extended support to the government move.

The ban is a very smart move and sends out a clear message that Chinese apps can't use such tactics to engage in activities that are 'prejudicial to India's sovereignty'. At the same time, we would like to assure our Chingari family that the safety of their data is our highest priority,” Sumit Ghosh, CEO, Co-founder Chingari said.&nbsp;

The ministry banned these apps based on reports received from the Indian Cyber Crime Co-ordination Centre, Ministry of Home Affairs.&nbsp;

“I think this is a strong move by the government that sends out a strong message that Indian data cannot be compromised. We welcome anyone to do business here, but Indian users data must be protected through safe means. There are many apps in the market, which can be better alternatives of Chinese apps like –AliExpress, CamCard etc. During the last two times ban on apps home grown apps have seen a huge increase in the number of downloads. Domestic applications developers recruited and this opportunity has also opened up the job market under the segment which will eventually have an added boost to the Indian economy,” a spokesperson from UDO-now said.&nbsp;

Ankit Chaudhari, CEO &amp; Founder, Aiisma believes that this move was due for a while and more bans could be coming soon.&nbsp;

“This was due for a while now and even more could be in pipeline. E-commerce/payments/online dating are the primarily targeted infrastructures that have access to quite a lot of critical consumer information. What needs to be seen is if Indian alternatives are able to replace with profits these existing platforms rather than just replace them with a burn,” he said. &nbsp;

The increasing popularity of OTT platforms and abundance of content available on them is allowing people to enjoy media in unimaginable ways.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Initially, smart TVs weren’t cheap with select players manufacturing them. Times are changing and even the big size smart TVs have become affordable. One of the brands trying to get a piece of pie is TCL. The company recently launched P615 series in India comprising of 4K Ultra HD televisions in various sizes – priced well under Rs 40,000.&nbsp;&nbsp;

We have been using the biggest of these (55-inch) for about a week and it's time to find out if it justifies the price tag or not!

<h2>TCL P615 4K UHD TV review: Design&nbsp;</h2>

The TCL P615 4K UHD TV is available in 43-inch, 50-inch and 55-inch screen sizes. The three models are priced at Rs 23,999, Rs 29,499, and Rs 38,499 respectively. As I mentioned before, we had the largest of them which is actually quite wide. You will require a broad table to house the television while using the two-point stand. The shelf where my usual 50-inch TV is placed turned out to be small for this, forcing me to find weird places for the TCL smart TV.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The alternate is to use the wall mount and fix the TV at one spot. This, however, makes reaching out to the side-placed ports a tough job. Both the table stands and wall mounts come as part of the retail box so the choice is yours.&nbsp;&nbsp;

All the ports are one the right side of the TV. You get three HDMI ports to connect set top box, Blue Ray players, PlayStation, Soundbar etc. There is one USB port to connect hard drives and other USB devices. Apart from this, you also get Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi support.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Inside the box, you also get a really tall remote control with two batteries. The remote has dedicated buttons for Netflix. Prime Video, Zee5 and TCL’s own service but somehow misses out on the YouTube button – a service smart TV owners are likely to use the most. As I said, the remote is considerably tall and comes with several buttons that can confuse first time smart TV users.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Overall, the smart TV looks as good as any other and weighs around 9.5 kgs, which basically allows you to pick it up and place anywhere in the house. It’s the size that you need to consider.&nbsp;

The TCL P615 series ticks the most important part for anyone looking to buy a smart TV right now – it comes supports 4K Ultra High Definition video – a format which is becoming increasingly popular and already offers enough content. In fact, most OTT platforms now have a large library of 4K content and even the gaming consoles support this video format.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The smart TV supports up to 3840x2160 pixels resolution. You may find some of the old or even recent content not supporting that resolution but it isn’t a major issue. What the P615 series does is, it makes you future ready. Having said that, it is not the only smart TV in the Indian market at this price point which offers this feature. Smart TVs from Xiaomi, Hisense, Kodak, Vu etc also support the 4K video quality and are priced around the same mark.&nbsp;&nbsp;

If I have to pick one – the Hisense 4K smart TVs also have support for Dolby Vision. For those unaware, the HDR imaging technology brings better colour, contrast and brightness to the screen, enhancing your overall viewing experience. Popular movie titles like Avengers: Infinity War are available in this format. Unfortunately, the TCL smart TV doesn’t support it.&nbsp;

Instead, you get what company calls the Rich Color Expansion algorithm that displays screens in low gamut show with color rendering capability close to high gamut screen, to achieve a ‘pleasing and realistic appearance in terms of image quality’. There is also micro dimming technology. TCL has divided the screen into 1296 sections, the brightness of each section is controlled precisely by an algorithm constantly adjusting for the brightness of different scenes so that picture contrast is improved.&nbsp;

The TV is also HDR 10 certified which further improves the quality of content by adjusting the content in dynamic scene-by- scene way for the optimum representation of contrast with wider color gamut. It is also capable of 4K upscaling which means the TV can enhance the HD content in UHD for a better output.&nbsp;

There is no doubt that visuals look stunning on large screen if your Wi-Fi lets you stream in the highest quality possible. Any dip in the bandwidth can make the same scene look ugly. And trust me, poor quality video looks even worse on a big screen. I watched a few episodes of The Mandolorian on the TCL smart TV and there wasn’t much to complain about. The aspect ratio denied me a full screen experience but the colours and picture quality were really impressive.&nbsp;

I also streamed the Tottenham Spurs vs Manchester City match over the weekend as a Jose Mourinho masterclass led by Harry Kane ensured a very impressive win for the Spurs side against Pep Guardiola’s men. The videoplay was slick with good contrast ratio.&nbsp;

<h2>TCL P615 4K UHD TV review: Audio&nbsp;&nbsp;</h2>

An advantage with the TCL P615 series is that you get 30W audio output against the 20W or 24W output offered by most smart TVs. And, the speaker is loud. You get a very good audio even at 25 per cent volume levels. However, TVs do tend to lose audio quality with time.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The TCL TV comes with Dolby Audio against the most premium Dolby Atmos which again, you get on the Hisene TV for similar price. For the first few years, the TV itself should be enough to enjoy movies and other content.&nbsp;

The P615 runs Android TV, giving you a very neat and clean experience, even though there are some pre-installed apps and TCL’s own platform which clutter the main screen. The supports popular OTT platforms such as Prime Video, Netflix, Hungama Play, Eros Now, Sony Liv, and ZEE. Users can also download more applications through Google Play Store.&nbsp;&nbsp;

There is no doubt that the TCL P615 series is a high value for money line up, ideal for those seeking 4K UHD video quality on a large screen but in a tight budget. Especially the 43-inch model for Rs 23,999 is a very lucrative option. The size that we reviewed is more suitable for large living rooms or halls. It is ideal for those prefer streaming content on big displays and delivers high-quality videos with good audio output.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Yet, it should not stop you from exploring other options. Those who deserve attention are smart TVs by Xiaomi, Hisense and Kodak which offers same or better features at almost the similar price.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The audio company has somehow found a secret formula that allows it to make earbuds at unbelievably low rates. And, there are absolutely no compromises, at least in the hardware. The Truke Fit Pro Power, for example, are priced at just Rs 1299 and yet come with features like quick pairing, 13mm drivers, fast charging and close to 100 hours of music playback with the charging case. Starting with the case, the Truke Fit Pro don’t feel cheap at all. The company has used rectangle-box to pack the earbuds which comes with a rubberized finish on top. It has Truke branding on the face and a Type-C using charging port. The case is neither too big nor too small but is a bit heavy. Open the lid and you get the two Dolphin-shaped earbuds on either side of a digital display which is a very uncommon yet highly useful addition. It shows the battery percentage on each earbud and their charging status.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The buds themselves come in what Truke call Dolphin Design 2.0. They have the same rubberized finish as on the self-charging case. There is a button on each bud which gives you some control on music playback. Unfortunately, the buds are not at all comfortable. They didn’t fit well in my ears and the absence of eartips make it even more difficult to hold them. This also means that the plastic causes slight discomfort during long usage.&nbsp;

What’s more heartbreaking is that the buds are also poorly tuned and feel too harsh for any genre of music. I played the ‘Train Song’ from Gully Boy and almost instantly stopped it because of the really sub-standard audio output. There is too much overlapping between the instruments and vocals. Even at full volume, you can feel that the buds are not too loud.&nbsp;

Pairing the buds with the smartphone is not very difficult though. They come with Bluetooth 5.0 and Quick Pairing mode which forms an instant connection with the phone. The range is also decent allowing you to move around the house.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The buds support fast charging means a 15-mins charge gives 3 hours of playback and in 25 mins, earbuds can be completely charged. They pack a 2000 mAh battery. The earbuds last for about 4.5 hours but the company claims a ridiculous 100-hour music playback with the charging case. The latter is almost unheard of and deserves a pat on the back.&nbsp;&nbsp;

<h2>Truke Fit Pro Power review: Should you buy?&nbsp;</h2>

If you are looking for an entry ticket to the TWS segment, then the Truke Fit Pro are one of the few reasonable options in the market. At Rs 1299, they are as affordable as the wireless game goes and offer some impressive features such as fast charging and impeccable battery life. They have decent built quality but the fit didn’t work for me at all. Also, the audio quality is way below average and that’s something you eventually seek from a personal audio device.&nbsp;&nbsp;

I would still advise you to push the budget slightly more and consider Realme Buds Q or Redmi Earbuds S – both of which offer far greater value for money while still staying in the sub-Rs 2000 segment.

PUBG Corporation, creator of PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS (PUBG) and subsidiary of South Korea’s KRAFTON, Inc., on Thursday announced that it is preparing to launch PUBG MOBILE INDIA, a new game created specifically for the Indian market. The company promised that it plans to provide a secure and healthy gameplay environment alongside investments to cultivate local video game, esports, entertainment, and IT industries.&nbsp;

PUBG Corporation also announced plans to create an Indian subsidiary to enhance communications and services with players. The Indian company will hire over 100 employees specializing in business, esports, and game development. In addition to establishing a local office, the company will look to actively collaborate and leverage local businesses to strengthen its gaming service.&nbsp;

Also, with its parent company KRAFTON, Inc., PUBG Corporation plans to make investments worth $100 million in India to cultivate the local video game, esports, entertainment, and IT industries. Outside of the manufacturing industry, these investments will represent the largest made by a Korean company. The company also plans to make investments by hosting India-exclusive esports events, which will feature the biggest tournaments, the largest prize pools, and the best tournament productions.&nbsp;

<h2>What will be new?&nbsp;</h2>

PUBG Corp said that privacy and security of Indian player data is its top priority and the company will conduct regular audits and verifications on the storage systems holding Indian users’ personally identifiable information to reinforce security and ensure that their data is safely managed.&nbsp;

To build and foster a healthy gameplay environment, in-game content will be improved and tailored to reflect local needs. Various aspects of the game will be customized for Indian gamers, such as the game now being set in a virtual simulation training ground, new characters automatically starting clothed, and green hit effects to reflect the virtual nature of the game. More importantly, the company will include a feature that places restrictions on game time to promote healthy gameplay habits for younger players.&nbsp;

The company is yet to announce the exact date of launch and will share further details in near future.

The government has notified mandatory requirement of e-invoicing for B2B transactions for businesses with a turnover of over Rs 100 crore with effect from January 1, 2021. The announcement was made on Wednesday night where the government mentioned that under Goods and Services Tax (GST) law, e-invoicing for business-to-business (B2B) transactions is mandatory for companies with turnover of over Rs 500 crore from October 1.&nbsp;

In a notification, the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) said e-invoicing will be extended to businesses with a turnover over Rs 100 crore from January 1. Under e-invoicing, taxpayers have to generate invoices on their internal systems (ERP/accounting/billing software) and then report it online to the Invoice Registration Portal (IRP).&nbsp;&nbsp;

The IRP will validate the information provided in the invoices and return the digitally signed e-invoices with a unique 'Invoice Reference Number (IRN)' along with a QR Code to the taxpayer.&nbsp;

Mahesh Jaising, Partner &amp; Leader Indirect tax, Deloitte India said called the phased roll out a good move, hoping that it will give MSMEs time to stabilize.&nbsp;&nbsp;

“The decision of the Government to reduce the threshold for e-invoice compliance from INR 500 Crores to INR 100 Crores is in line with the original plan of the GST Implementation Committee. This approach of introducing the requirement in a phased manner has been a good move, allowing the system to stabilize and giving the MSME’s an additional period of 3 months to implement the changes to their IT systems.&nbsp;&nbsp;Larger companies who have successfully implemented and complied with the new requirement will now have to shift focus on their procurement processes.&nbsp;Robust mechanisms and checks would need to be put in place to ensure that all vendors who are required to comply based on the revised threshold from January 1, 2020 provide them with valid e-invoices along with the QR code,” he said.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Meanwhile, Prakash Kumar, Senior Advisor, Deloitte India said it would be interesting to see the preparedness of such taxpayers.&nbsp;&nbsp;

“This will further aid in curbing tax evasion and increasing tax collections. It would be interesting to see the preparedness of such class of taxpayers, who were actually informed about this date many months ago itself. However, going by the resounding success of the October 1 roll-out for the larger companies, MSME’s too should indeed be able to comply with the new requirement,” he said.

The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved a production-linked incentive scheme worth around Rs 1.45 lakh crore for 10 sectors – a move that has been welcomed by companies around segments. Announcing the decision, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that the scheme would entail an expenditure of about Rs 2 lakh crore. Accordingly, the scheme is expected to attract foreign players, boost production, increase exports and generate employment in the country.&nbsp;

Reacting to the announcement, Rahul Agarwal, CEO and MD, Lenovo India said that the scheme will encourage local manufacturing and further bolster the local PC market. The laptop maker is running a manufacturing plant in Puducherry.&nbsp;&nbsp;

“The Indian government's decision to introduce PLI for laptops is timely and in the right direction.&nbsp;&nbsp;We are confident that it will encourage local manufacturing and further bolster the local PC market, which is already seeing a positive momentum under the current work and learn from home scenarios. Lenovo is committed to local manufacturing with our plant in Puducherry, and we welcome this move by the government,” Agarwal said.&nbsp;

Assocham Secretary General, Deepak Sood described the move as a boost to India`s march towards becoming a "global manufacturing hub".&nbsp;

"This would have a huge multiplier effect on economic activities, with a sizable generation of employment across different sectors such as automobiles, electronics, textiles, food products, and telecom. In sectors like pharmaceuticals, chemicals, solar equipment, the PLI would also give a big leap towards scientific research and development," he said.&nbsp;

SP Kochhar, Director General of the Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), sees the announcement as government’s resolve to foster inclusive growth in the industry by making it faster, easier and more competitive to conduct business.&nbsp;

"We are yet to receive details of the scheme from the DoT, however, we appreciate the proposed outlay of Rs 12,000 crore for telecom and networking equipment and are confident that the government would have designed the scheme is such a manner to ensure that the demand for telecom equipment from the local market is enhanced and remains robust as well as exports from India are suitably supported and incentivised," he said.&nbsp;

The concerned sectors will include advanced chemistry cell battery, electronic products, automobiles and auto components, pharma, telecom and networking products, textile, food products, white goods and speciality steel.&nbsp;

"The PLI scheme will be implemented by the concerned ministries or departments and will be within the overall financial limits prescribed. The final proposals of PLI for individual sectors will be appraised by the Expenditure Finance Committee (EFC) and approved by the Cabinet,” the official statement read.

Spider-Man Miles Morales review: When game developer Insomniac announced ‘Spider-Man: Miles Morales’ earlier this year, it had me at the edge of the seat, for ‘Into the Universe’ remains to be one of my favorite superhero movies – animated or otherwise. Growing up, I have come across a bunch of Spider-Mans, in various art forms, played by different people. Yet, no one charms you like Miles. A relatively new superhero which is still finding its place in what seems to be a crowded genre now, Miles Morales makes its game debut with the ‘Spider-Man: Miles Morales’.&nbsp;&nbsp;

It is priced at Rs 3,999 in India which isn’t a small amount by any means but what excites is the fact that the launch comes around the time when the gaming enthusiasts are eagerly waiting for the next-gen PlayStation 5.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Before we even dive into our review, let me make it clear that I never played the original ‘Spider-Man’ game which was launched in 2018 and also ended up winning the Game of the Year title. Why? There are just 24-hours in the day and a man can only do so much. Good enough an explanation? I mention that because a lot of people are comparing the two games, claiming that Miles Morales comes with a similar gameplay. In our review, there will be less of comparisons and more of views around Miles Morales as a standalone game.&nbsp;&nbsp;

So, let’s get started.&nbsp;&nbsp;

<h2>Spider-Man Miles Morales review: Story&nbsp;</h2>

Our game is apparently set a year after the events of the original Spider Man game where Miles takes over New York after our beloved Peter Parker leaves the town for a work trip. This puts Miles – still a college going student – in charge of the whole city a group of mysterious people are planning something nasty. As Miles pulls off the solo hero act, he needs to take more responsibility than ever, learn from his mistakes and evolve in the process.&nbsp;

The journey of the character is very similar to what we have seen multiple times in superhero movies. If I have to pick one, this comes very close to ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ where Tom Holland’s teenage Spider-Man deals with similar issues and comes out as the savior of the city.&nbsp;

During the game, you come across several characters like Miles’ Mom Rio who is contesting elections, his uncle who we also saw in the movie, friends and few others. I will not reveal much of character details as it can spoil the game for you. But, the story line is definitely engaging with a mix of emotions and moments that will give you chills.&nbsp;&nbsp;

For example, Miles’ best friend knows of his secret Spider-Man identity which leads to some interesting conversations between the two. While his uncle, Aaron Davis, also adds an interesting angle to storyline. The only issue here is that the story isn’t too long and leaves you craving for more. I spend around three hours playing the game in one go and ended up completing about 25 per cent of it. So, finishing the game should not take more than 10 to 12 hours, if you exclude the side-missions. Even with them, 20 hours is what you get at max. 4000 rupees for that? It's a decision you have to make.&nbsp;&nbsp;

<h2>Spider-Man Miles Morales: Gameplay&nbsp;</h2>

The gameplay is one of the best I have seen on any game this year. It includes usual elements you would expect from a Spider-Man game like swinging, traversal and combat. As the game goes on, you encounter new enemies in action-packed sequences. There is a skill tree which you need to upgrade as the character grows and learns new skills. Spider-Man also gets a gadget wheel and ability to use add-ons like web shooters and floor mines, among others.&nbsp;

The fascinating aspect of this game for me was how seamless Miles swings past the tall New York buildings, giving a trip down the memory lane. You could also feel his struggle as our super hero, still new in job, continues to struggle with his webs.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The other cool gameplay aspects include the ability to zip to specific points, run vertically on buildings, dive off the roof and a camouflage mode – which allows you to turn invisible for a few seconds when encountered by enemies. The game also makes Miles’ home an essential part of the overall gameplay, allowing you to revisit the place in frequent intervals and indulge in conversations with other characters.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The game makes use of almost all the buttons on the controller. You need to press R2 to swing, L2 + R2 to zip to specific points, square to attack, circle to dodge, and triangle for a distance closing web pull. The game also allows you to regain health – an aspect that is very useful and allowed me to win several tight battles. The extent of regain depends on the number of blows you land on the opponent during an action sequence. Also, there are multiple suits you can unlock and each shave a set of powers that come handy in different scenarios.&nbsp;&nbsp;

To make the game interactive, developers have also added an app which can be used by our character to find new missions. You can also access the map of the entire city and visit any place whenever you want. There are sub-stations at different points in the city that allow you to fast travel between two places. However, it takes a few seconds for the game to load as you enter a station.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The Last of Us II is my benchmark when it comes to game graphics and Miles Morales comes really close. Insomniac has paid close attention to details ensuring the city looks visually stunning with little to complain about. The game takes a while to load in between missions on PS4 but there are no stutters during missions. You can swing through the buildings almost seamlessly, dodge enemies effortlessly and unleash finishers that leave you in awe.&nbsp;&nbsp;

You can only imagine how good Miles Morales will feel on the PS 5. Unfortunately, we are yet to get any update about its India availability and can only wait till an official announcement is made.&nbsp;&nbsp;

You're the sunflower,” the lyrics have stuck by me ever since I watched the Into the Verse movie and it was the BGM that made it so special. The magic continues with the Miles Morales game with features some well selected tracks.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The developers have also paid great attention to the surroundings where the game is set. You can hear the honking of horns and frequent chatters in the background, reminding that you are in New York. You can also clearly hear the shooting of webs, frequent sledging from opponents and more.&nbsp;&nbsp;

As far the character voices go, Nadji Jeter continues to play Miles Morales while Peter Parker is voiced by Yuri Lowenthal.&nbsp;

Not playing the original Spider-Man game, made Miles Morales work for me even more. It is a terrific game designed for action-adventure lovers with stunning graphics and gameplay. The only thing you need to ask is if it makes sense to spend Rs 3,999 on a title that can be completed over a weekend. Probably, it doesn’t.&nbsp;&nbsp;

But then, most us end up spending the same amount on FIFA games every year despite them offering little improvements over the previous version. Yes, EA if you are reading this, you need to do something about it.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Coming back to Miles Morales, I feel this is genuinely a game that deserves to be in your inventory but probably, not at this price. I would advise you to maybe wait for a few days and grab a copy during one of PlayStation sales for as less as possible.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The Vivo V20 SE is a handsome smartphone just like others in the same series. However, it’s no-show stopper that makes jaws drop. In fact, the V20 SE looks average when compared the V20 which is one of this year’s most stunning smartphones. The V20 SE comes with a plastic body and a mirror-like back panel which is way too reflective. This also makes the back a fingerprint magnet.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The smartphone comes in two colour options - Gravity Black and Aquamarine Green. We had the Gravity Black variant for review purposes which comes with a dual gradient finish.&nbsp;

The V20 SE flaunts a vertically aligned triple rear camera setup at the back within a thin module. On the right, you get the volume and power buttons. The SIM tray is on top and the bottom part of the phone features a 3.5mm headphone jack, a Type-C USB charging port and the speaker grille.&nbsp;

One good thing about the V20 SE is that it’s really slim and lightweight. The curved sides make this phone comfortable to hold and carry around. At the same time, the glossy finish makes it a bit slippery.&nbsp;

The Vivo V20 SE gets the same 6.44-inch Super AMOLED display as its sibling. Vivo has kept the bezels thin but has opted for a dewdrop notch to house the selfie camera. As I said in case of the V20, the company could have gone for a hole punch display to offer a better viewing experience.&nbsp;&nbsp;

In terms of colour production and brightness, there is not much to complain about. The V20 SE does a good job in both the cases. The display is punchy and sharp. The only thing to consider again is that there is no support for high refresh rate. Just like the V20, this model also continues to run a 60Hz panel. This is something you should definitely consider, especially if you do a lot of mobile gaming.&nbsp;&nbsp;

I remember last year around the same time Vivo had launched the V17 Pro – an excellent camera smartphone – powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 675 chipset. That smartphone was priced close to Rs 30,000 and I was very critical of Vivo for using an average chipset in one of the more important smartphones for the company.&nbsp;

It was good to see a change in approach since then with most V series smartphones getting at least a Qualcomm 7 series processor. Unfortunately, Vivo has taken few steps back with the V20 SE using a Snapdragon 665 chipset which can be found in several smartphones priced significantly lower.&nbsp;&nbsp;

This is combined with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage with an option to expand the latter by up to 1TB using a microSD card.&nbsp;

This is a downgrade compared to the 64-megapixel sensor used on the Vivo V20.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Yet, the setup is good for the price and does a good job. The main camera is capable of clicking some really good images in daylight and does well with the Night Mode too. The ultra-wide-angle lens lets you capture more in the same frame.&nbsp;&nbsp;

As I said before, Vivo continues to focus on design and camera with the V20 SE while keeping other things on the backseat. Honestly, it does a very good job in both those departments. Given that there is only Rs 4,000 difference between the V20 SE and the V20, the latter makes a lot better option if you really want to buy a Vivo phone

In what could be a pivotal moment in WhatsApp’s journey in India, it has rolled out WhatsApp Pay here, after years of struggle. The new in-app feature will compete against already existing market players like Google Pay, Paytm, PhonePe, among others. WhatsApp claims that sending money through the platform will be as simple and secure as sending messages. The WhatsApp Pay has been designed in partnership with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) using the Unified Payment Interface (UPI), an India-first, real-time payment system that enables transactions with over 140 supported banks.&nbsp;&nbsp;

<h2>What is WhatsApp Pay?&nbsp;</h2>

WhatsApp Pay is an in-chat payment feature that allows you to send money to contacts from within the app. It is UPI-based payments service that allows you to both send and receive money. The platform is currently working with five leading banks in India: ICICI Bank, HDFC Bank, Axis Bank, the State Bank of India, and Jio Payments Bank. However, it is supported by more than 140 banks. People can send money on WhatsApp to anyone using a UPI supported app.&nbsp;&nbsp;

If you open the WhatsApp menu on your smartphone, a payments option has been added to it. To access it, you need to add a payment method and initiate a payment. WhatsApp on Thursday has announced a highly awaited feature that will allow you to send messages that disappear after seven days. Called ‘Disappearing Messages’, this feature has been in-the-works for a while now. The feature will be rolling out to users everywhere through this month and you can expect to receive it in coming days.&nbsp;&nbsp;

“Private conversations that once were only possible face-to-face can now take place across great distances through instant chats and video calling. Today everything lives forever, and generally that is okay! However, in-person conversations do not last forever, and not everything on WhatsApp needs to either,” WhatsApp said in a statement on Thursday.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

“So today, we’re introducing ‘Disappearing Messages’ on WhatsApp. When conversations aren’t permanent, people can speak more freely and feel more comfortable being their authentic selves whether that be their wacky side or being more honest about their feelings,” it added.&nbsp;

The instant messaging platform added that when disappearing messages is turned on, new messages sent to a chat will disappear after 7 days, helping the conversation feel lighter and more private. In a one-to-one chat, either person can turn disappearing messages on or off. In groups, admins will have the control.&nbsp;

“We’re starting with 7 days because we think it offers peace of mind that conversations aren’t permanent, while remaining practical so you don’t forget what you were chatting about. The shopping list or store address you received a few days ago will be there while you need it, and then disappear after you don’t,” it added.&nbsp;

All you need to know WhatsApp Disappearing Messages&nbsp;

	<li>If a user doesn’t open WhatsApp in the seven day period, the message will disappear. However, the preview of the message might still be displayed in notifications until WhatsApp is opened.&nbsp;</li>
	<li>When you reply to a message, the initial message is quoted. If you reply to a disappearing message, the quoted text might remain in the chat after seven days.&nbsp;</li>
	<li>If a disappearing message is forwarded to a chat with disappearing messages off, the message won’t disappear in the forwarded chat.&nbsp;</li>
	<li>If a user creates a backup before a message disappears, the disappearing message will be included in the backup. Disappearing messages will be deleted when a user restores from a backup.&nbsp;</li>

Note: Only use disappearing messages with trusted individuals. For example, it's possible for someone to:&nbsp;
