2.0 box office collection: Superstar Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar film set the box office in India on fire by earning Rs 61 cr on the first day of its releaase. Fans lined up in humongous numbers outside threatres on day 1 to watch Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar thrill them with amazing performances. The film created many records even as it was released on a working day, i.e. Thursday. The movie was released in more then 10,000 screens worldwide. 
Trade analyst Sumit Kadel had tweeted, "#Baahubali2 All India Day-1 Opening Collection- Rs 121 cr nett#2point0 All India Day-1 Rs 61 cr nett , which makes 2.0 Second Highest Opener in India of all Time."
While the film continues to do well in India, the buzz around this high-budget hasn't left even Pakistan unthrilled. The huge demand for the film has led to an increase in the number of screes from Pakistan from 20 to 75 to meet. Movie trade analyst Ramesh Bala's tweeted, "In #Pakistan, #2Point0 screen count increased from 20 to 75 to meet huge ticket demand.."
The film is expected to rake in high earnings on Saturday and Sunday. Bala had earlier tweeted, "It will be a grand weekend for 2.0! The fantastic WOM reflects on the bookings for the weekend. Here is the booking status for Bangalore."
As per bollywood hungama, 2.0 had already earned Rs 370 crore from pre-release business. 1.2 million tickets of the film was sold ahead of release. 2.0 budget is massive at around Rs 600 crore.
