Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Tuesday announced that he has tested positive for Covid-19, adding that he has "mild symptoms" and was isolating at home.

During the devastating second wave of the pandemic in the country in April 2021, the Chief Minister along with his wife Sunita had tested positive for the virus.

Tuesday`s development comes as the daily Covid-19 cases in the national capital is on the rise, with the city reporting 4,099 fresh infections and a positivity rate resting at 6.89 per cent until Monday evening.

The new cases have pushed up the infection tally to 14,58,220, while the death toll stood at 25,110.

Both are the highest since May 18, 2021, when the city logged 4,482 fresh cases at a test positivity rate of 6.89 per cent.

On December 29, 2020, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) had ordered a `yellow` alert in the capital which is declared when the infection rate continues to be either at the mark of 0.5 per cent positivity for two consecutive days or crosses it.

Of the cases being reported in the national capital, 81 per cent are that of the new Omicron variant, Health Minister Satyendra Jain had said in the Legislative Assembly on Monday.

The capital has, so far, detected 351 Omicron cases, of which 57 have been discharged from the hospital.

The DDMA is likely to strengthen the already existing restrictions to curb the spread of the virus.

While ideally, the yellow alert should be followed by amber, but Delhi`s positivity rate has crossed 5 per cent -- mark set for imposition of red alert in the capital.

In either of the alerts, the already existing restrictions will be strengthened with a few places, activities being completely banned under the level 2 (amber) restrictions and a complete lockdown in level 4 (red).

The Union Budget 2022-23 is likely to be presented on February 1. So, the Department of Economic Affairs, Ministry of Finance, on 27th December 2021, invited ideas and suggestions for the Union Budget 2022-2023.&nbsp;

Sharing his expectations on the Union Budget 2022 for the education sector, Dr. M. Viswanathaiah, Professor and Principal, IFIM College said: “In India, the education sector has yet to receive its due share of development priorities. Throughout the time of development planning, the sector has been assigned just a secondary priority and has been allotted abysmally provided public resource allocations.”&nbsp;

He further added that the country must respond to current social needs and new educational difficulties to effect tangible changes in society and to significantly reduce the problem of educated unemployment. “The reduction of the educational disparity requires more attention, especially as the globalisation movement continues to mainstream the laggards,” Viswanathaiah added.&nbsp;

“The social imperative of the hour is to respond positively to the country's current population divide. Although a considerable increase in the number of effective workers in the age category of 15 to 45 is a positive indicator, it poses a significant challenge for the next 20-25 years, which necessitates the implementation of a huge public programme to develop employability skills. Thus require a substantial budget allocation,” he said.&nbsp;

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Education's budget allocation in 2021 was reduced from Rs 99,321 crore in the budget stage to Rs 85,890 crore in the revised stage (down 14%). Higher education funding agencies are one of the plans to significantly reduce budget allocation during the revision phase (91% reduction), he added.&nbsp;

“As the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 includes several reform proposals, including rationalization of higher education supervisors, funding for private sector research and the establishment of National Research Foundations, implementing them with sufficient budget allocation, should be prioritized,” he asserted.&nbsp;

He concluded that this budget must support educational institutions in both the public and private sectors in their efforts to build the necessary infrastructure as well as fund the costs of extra training and other skill development programmes.&nbsp;

The country must respond to current social needs and new educational difficulties to effect tangible changes in society and to significantly reduce the problem of educated unemployment, he added.

Labour Shramik Card Registration news:&nbsp;The&nbsp;Government of India last year rolled out a national database for unorganised workers for the overall welfare of crores of unorganised workers of the country.&nbsp;The Modi government has developed an e-SHRAM portal, which will be seeded with their Aadhaar cards.&nbsp;&nbsp;

More than 16 crore unorganised workers (UW) in the country have already registered under the portal. The registration under the e-SHRAM portal is totally free and workers do not have to pay anything for his or her registration at Common Service Centres (CSCs), or Regional Offices of State Government.&nbsp;&nbsp;They can also directly register through the e-SHRAM portal eshram.gov.in.

After the registration, the workers will be issued an e-SHRAM card with a unique Universal Account Number (UAN) and they will be able to access the benefits of the various social security schemes through this card anywhere anytime.&nbsp;

It will have details of name, occupation, address, educational qualification, skill types and family details etc. for optimum the realisation of their employability and extend the benefits of the social security schemes to them. It is the first-ever national database of unorganised workers including migrant workers, construction workers, gig and platform workers and others.

The e-SHRAM card will be acceptable across the country.&nbsp;After registering, the worker is entitled to get an accidental insurance cover and permanent disability of 2 lakh and Rs 1 lakh for partial disability under PMSBY.&nbsp;&nbsp;In future, all the social security benefits of unorganised workers will be delivered through this portal.&nbsp;&nbsp;

In emergency and national pandemic like situations, this database may be utilised to provide necessary assistance to the eligible unorganised workers.&nbsp;All registered unorganised workers will be provided the accidental insurance coverage through&nbsp;Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana&nbsp;(PMSBY) for a year.&nbsp;&nbsp;

It will also be helpful for State &amp; Central Governments to provide assistance to eligible UWs in case of any pandemic/ calamities. The registration has already started on 26th&nbsp;August.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Construction workers, migrant workers, street vendors, domestic workers, milkmen, truck drivers, fishermen, agriculture workers and similar other workers to be covered in&nbsp;e-Shram portal.&nbsp;

This system is being made to register 38 crore unorganised workers. "It will not only register them but would also be helpful in delivering of various social security schemes being implemented by the Central and State Governments,” said the labour minister said.&nbsp;

More than 16 crore unorganised workers (UW) in the country have already registered under the portal.

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Latest:&nbsp;Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 10th instalment of financial benefit under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme on 1st January 2022 via video conferencing. This enabled the transfer of an amount of more than Rs 20,000 crore to more than 10 crore beneficiary farmer families.

During the programme, the Prime Minister also released an equity grant of more than Rs 14 crore to about 351 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), which will benefit more than 1.24 lakh farmers. Similarly, he released the 9th instalment of PM-KISAN in August 2021. More than Rs 19,500 crore transferred directly into the accounts of over 9.75 crore beneficiary farmer families. However, if the instalment is still pending, then farmers can follow these steps to check the instalment status.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is a Central government scheme with 100 per cent funding. Started on December 1, 2018, the scheme promises income support of Rs 6,000 per year in three equal installments to small and marginal farmer families, having combined land holding/ownership of up to 2 hectares.

The fund will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. There are various exclusion categories for the scheme. Farmers can check their status on pm kisan online portal www-pmkisan-gov-in or via the mobile app. Know the process to check the latest instalment details here;

Under PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, more than 2 crore Kisan Credit Cards were issued during Corona period, most of them to small farmers. Such farmers will be benefitted by the agriculture infrastructure and connectivity infrastructure that is coming up in the country. Initiatives like Food Parks, Kisan Rails and Infrastructure Fund will help small farmers. In the year gone by, more than 6 thousand projects have been approved under the Infrastructure Fund.

These steps increase the small farmer’s access to market and his bargaining power through FPOs, said the Prime Minister. The transfer of the amount to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries can take few days’ time and to ensure this farmer can check the PM-KSNY instalment, status, list, etc.

The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM KISAN) scheme was launched with the view to supplement the earnings of small and medium categories farmers. This scheme coupled with the Digital India initiative has made it possible to reach the PM KISAN benefits to 12 crore farmers in the country.

Tata Motors has overtaken Hyundai Motor India to become the second-largest seller of passenger vehicles (PV) in the domestic market in December 2021. Tata Motors' total PV sales stood at 35,299 units against 32,312 units by South Korean carmaker Hyundai Motor India.

Similarly, Maruti Suzuki remains the top carmaker in the country with 123,016 units sold in December 2021.

Tata Motors also became the carmaker for posting the highest-ever quarterly sales from October to December of 2021 with 99,002 units. Shailesh Chandra, President, Passenger Vehicles Business Unit, Tata Motors Ltd. said, “Tata Motors PV business growth journey continued and set several new milestones during the quarter despite witnessing a shortfall in production due to the ongoing semi-conductor crisis. Decade high quarterly and monthly sales- 99,002 units in Q3 FY22 (growth of 44% vs Q3 FY21) and 35,299 units in Dec’21 (growth of 50% vs Dec’20) were recorded."

"In addition, the company also posted calendar year sale of 3,31,178 units (CY21), highest-ever since the inception of the PV Business. The overwhelming market response to Tata Punch launched in Oct’21 is further boosting demand for the

company’s 'New Forever' range of cars and SUVs. Records were also created on the EV front as EV sales witnessed a new peak of 5,592 units in Q3 FY22 (growth of 345% vs Q3 FY21). Consequently, EV penetration touched 5.6% of PV Sales during the quarter versus 1.8% in the same period last financial year," he added.

"EV sales also touched 10,000 units in 9MFY22 and crossed 2,000 monthly sales landmark for the first-time in Dec’21 (2,255 units). The ever-increasing demand for Nexon EV and Tigor EV as well as progressive revival of the EV fleet segment were instrumental in driving this steep growth. Going forward, semi-conductor supplies will remain the key source of uncertainty," Chandra added.

He further mentioned that additionally, the impact of the new strain of Covid needs to be closely tracked. We will continue to work on business agility plan and take proactive actions to mitigate these risks.

On the other hand, Hyundai Motor India Director (Sales, Marketing and Service) Tarun Garg told to PTI: "We are entering 2022 with cautious optimism. There are more positives than negatives and we are looking to a better year with so much of the customer booking backlog. Besides, our product line-up is refreshed."

He noted that sales of the CNG trims also continue to increase year-on-year.

"While there are challenges in terms of Omicron but at the same time, there are so many things to look forward to," Garg said. Despite key component supply constraints, the automaker has managed challenges to ensure smooth deliveries of models, he added.

Siva further added that the doctors to people and Nurses to people ratio in India is far less than what was stipulated by the WHO. Increasing the stipend pay of the young medical practitioners, thus incentivizing them to contribute to government service and also helping in reducing the workload of the serving practitioners is the need of the hour. Extra funds and resources must be set aside to enhance the skills of paramedic&nbsp;workers, nurses, and doctors.

"Including all the Life-saving-drugs in the generic category and providing tax cuts on these drugs are essential. The budget should allocate a considerable fund to take care of the first 48 hours of emergency treatment, even in private hospitals, irrespective of the patient covered in either government or private insurances," he said.

Nevertheless, allocating a sufficient&nbsp;budget&nbsp;for&nbsp;the&nbsp;healthcare&nbsp;sector is critical, since it will have a significant impact on the overall economy at large. Given that this is not a one-time occurrence, there is a pressing need to develop a long-term approach&nbsp;for&nbsp;implementing a system to deal with future pandemics, he concluded.

Budget 2022 Expectations: 'Extend National Health Protection Scheme for migrant workers; improve healthcare funding'

As the countdown for the Union Budget 2022 has started, the wishlist from the industries has started pouring in for the government. The Budget 2022-23 is likely to be presented on February 1.

Recently Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman held meetings with stakeholders of industries, financial sectors players, labour unions, agriculturists and leading economists in which suggestions were made about rationalisation of income tax slabs, infrastructure status for digital services and incentives to hydrogen storage.

The industrial automation industry is also having its own bucket list. Speaking on the expectations from Budget 2022 on the industrial automation sector, Nagraj GP, Head - Industrial Solutions at Utthunga said:

"India's Make-in-India push has been launched at the right time, although the objectives and targets seem to be a tall ordeal. But a closer look reveals that it is not only realistic, but also extremely desirable. In fact, it is a necessity in the economic and geo-political dynamics of the post-COVID era."

He further added that the government policy is headed in the right direction, with respect to boosting technology adoption in the manufacturing sector to achieve the Make-In-India goals. He cited an example, of&nbsp;Samarth Udyog Bharat 4.0 (Smart Advanced Manufacturing and Rapid Transformation Hubs) under the Department of Heavy Industries (Ministry of Heavy Industries &amp; Public Enterprises), which aims to take technological solutions to Indian manufacturing units by 2025 through steps like awareness programmes, training, demo centers, etc.

"Additionally, the cooperation of industry, academia and international in the field of Industry 4.0 technology is also promising. India’s National Manufacturing Policy (NMP) aims at enhancing the share of manufacturing in GDP to 25% and Industry 4.0 is the only way ahead to achieve this task. Therefore, the upcoming budget allocation must also direct adequate funds and schemes towards the same," he added.

The manufacturing industry in key industries always has a tight rope walk, balancing the operating cost and the profitability. Any new strategic investment gets buried in proving the ROI without having complete insights on the short-term and long-term gains from strategic investments like industry 4.0 solutions. Thus, to get over this dilemma the government must incentivize and encourage investments in manufacturing and drive local innovation among technology providers, the industry expects.

"Tax sops for manufacturers on meeting set goals for productivity, green index, safety and percentage of Made in India mix etc. would also exponentially increase technology adoption. Innovation programs similar to IMPRINT, UAY etc. for industry-academia collaboration for innovation would help in the creation of local design hubs and intellectual property rights," Nagraj added.

This would ensure that the country has a strategic approach in this transformation and catches up with technologies and solutions from matured regions. All these for sure would help create design hubs that match global standards, manufacturing houses and great talent. With all these in one place, investments will flow from all geographies to boost the economy, he concluded.

Budget 2022 Expectations: 'Industrial Automation Sector needs innovation programs to create local design hubs, IP rights'

Addresses the media, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced the outcomes of the 46th GST Council meeting. It was the meeting called in the emergency provisions, she said.

FM Nirmala Sitharaman said: "We retained the status quo on textile and decides to defer the hike in GST on textiles from 5 per cent to 12 per cent." The issue of GST rate on textile will be sent to the tax rate rationalization committee, which will submit its report by February, she said .

The matter will be discussed again in the next Council meet for future roadmap. The GST rate hike on textiles from 5 per cent to 12 per cent was expected to be effective from January 1.

Many states were opposing the increase in GST on textiles from 5 per cent to 12 per cent. After considering this proposal again, the council will bring a new proposal.

The 46th Goods and Service Tax (GST) Council meet was chaired by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on December 31, in Delhi. The GST council members were expected to discuss GST rate rationalization among other things.

The meeting was the extension to the pre-budget meeting of the Finance Minister with state finance ministers on December 30.

At present, there are four slabs in GST rates, 5 per cent, 12 per cent, 18 per cent and 28 per cent. The required items are either in the lowest slab or there is no tax on them. Luxury and demerit items are in the highest slab, which also attracts cess.

There are demands to make one slab by combining 12 per cent and 18 per cent slabs of GST.

It was expected that a decision would be taken to stop the increased rates on footwear and textiles for now.

FM Nirmala Sitharaman said: "We retained the status quo on textile and decides to defer the hike in GST on textiles from 5 per cent to 12 per cent."

In view of the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, taxpayers are facing inconvenience in meeting certain tax compliances and also in filing responses to various notices. In order to ease the compliance burden of taxpayers during this difficult time, reliefs are being provided by the government. Let’s check the to-do list before you miss them out.

Link your Aadhaar with PAN: This is one of the most important tasks to perform before filing for your return. You need to link your permanent account number (PAN) with your Aadhaar. The last date for PAN-Aadhaar linking too has been extended.

Link PAN and Bank account: Link your bank account with your PAN. The income tax department will only transfer refunds online to your bank account. In case you have forgotten to link your PAN with your bank account then you won't get the refund.

Declare Tax saving investments: For claiming deductions and exemptions under various sections while filing ITR, you will need to make the investments declaration. For this, you will have to check how much more you need to invest under Section 80C. This is after your employees' provident fund (EPF), tuition fees paid for self and child education, life insurance premium paid, etc. The deadline for employers to furnish Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) certificate in Form 16 to employees too has been extended till December 31, 2021.

Late ITR filing: It is advisable to file your return before the due date. But if you have missed out due to any reason then you can file a late return. However, with a penalty of Rs 10,000 for those with taxable income above Rs 5 lakh. For those with income up to Rs 5 lakh, the penalty is Rs 1,000.

Income declaration in case of new job: If you have changed job/ jobs during the financial year, it is important that you declare your income for the previous employer to the current employer. If not, then your employers may calculate your tax liability after accounting for the deductions again.

Submit proofs to your employer: At the start of the fiscal year, employees should make declarations regarding the investments they plan to do during the year. The employer deducts tax on the basis of those declarations.

Submit 15G/15H form: If you don't have a taxable income then you need to submit 15G/15H form with your bank to avoid TDS deduction on the interest earned. Most of the time banks deduct TDS in case the interest income is more than Rs 10,000 across the accounts. Uploading of the declarations received from recipients in Form No. 15G/15H during the quarter ending 30th June 2021.

Check for the capital gains tax: If you have incurred capital gains during the year, it is better to pay the capital gains before tax filing. If not then you may have to pay it with interest at the time of filing the return.

Check Form 26AS: Your Form 26AS shows the TDS deducted from various incomes during the year. You need to check that the TDS deducted has also been paid to the tax department to avoid any penalty later.

Due date and last date for filing the ITR of taxpayers has been extended to December 31 and March 31, 2022.

Kia India has informed that the bookings for the Carens will open from January 14. However, the price announcement is likely to take place in around February-March.

The name Carens is based on the concept of ’Car + Renaissance’, which signifies the beginning of a new era of cars. With the introduction of Carens, Kia is set to revolutionize the market by creating a new segment for modern Indian families, the South Korean automaker had informed.

The company, which unveiled its all-new model -- Carens -- for the Indian market, is considering all aspects related to the electric vehicle (EV) segment before coming out with a final blueprint.

"Currently, we are studying because there are multiple factors...Like pricing, range, charging infrastructure. So, we are looking at all the multiple angles and somewhere next year we will announce our EV strategy," Kia India Vice-President and Head (Sales and Marketing) Hardeep Singh Brar told to PTI in an interaction.

Kia India has informed that the bookings for the Carens will open from January 14. However, the price announcement is likely to take place in around February-March.

Income Tax Filing latest: More than five crore income tax returns (ITR) for the financial year ended March 2021 have been filed so far, the I-T department said.&nbsp; &nbsp;

The Income Tax Department has tweeted: More than 5 crore Income Tax Returns for AY 2021-22 filed till 5:45pm today! Hope you have filed yours too! If not, please file your #ITR for AY 2021-22 before the extended due date of 31st December, 2021.

The department has already extended the deadline for individual taxpayers to file income tax returns, by five months till December 31, 2021. For the financial year 2019-20, 5.95 crore ITRs were filed till the extended deadline of January 10, 2021.

Amid the last filing date approaching, the CBDT has been doing major changes like allowing one-time relaxation for verification of e-filed Income Tax Return (ITR) for the Assessment Year (AY) of 2020-21.

In respect of an Income-tax Return (ITR), which is filed electronically without a digital signature, the taxpayer is required to verify it using any one of the following modes within the time limit of 120 days from date of uploading the ITR.

Similarly, the income tax department has brought in changes to the existing faceless appeal scheme, easing the process for taxpayers wanting a personal hearing through video conference while appealing against a tax demand by the department.

Income Tax Return Filing: Last date approaching! ITR filing for FY21 crosses 5 crore

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release the 10th installment of financial benefit under Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme on 1st January 2022 at 12:30 PM via video conferencing.&nbsp;

This will enable the transfer of an amount of more than Rs 20,000 crore to more than 10 crore beneficiary farmer families.

Under the PM-KISAN scheme, a financial benefit of Rs. 6000/- per year is provided to the eligible beneficiary farmer families, payable in three equal 4-monthly installments of Rs.2000/- each.&nbsp;

The fund is transferred directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. In this scheme, Samman Rashi of over Rs. 1.6 lakh crore has been transferred to farmer families so far.

During the programme, Prime Minister will also release an equity grant of more than Rs&nbsp;14 crore to about 351 Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), which will benefit more than 1.24 lakh farmers.&nbsp;

Prime Minister will interact with FPOs during the event and will also address the nation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 9th installment of PM-KISAN in August. More than Rs 19,500 crore transferred directly into the accounts of over 9.75 crore beneficiary farmer families. However, if the installment is still pending, then farmers can follow these steps to check the installment status.&nbsp;&nbsp;

The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is a Central government scheme with 100 per cent funding. Started on December 1, 2018, the scheme promises income support of Rs 6,000 per year in three equal installments to small and marginal farmer families, having combined land holding/ownership of up to 2 hectares.

The fund will be directly transferred to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries. There are various exclusion categories for the scheme. Farmers can check their status on pm kisan online portal www-pmkisan-gov-in or via the mobile app.&nbsp;

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has allowed one-time relaxation for verification of e-filed Income Tax Return (ITR) for the Assessment Year (AY) of 2020-21, the Income Tax Department stated.

In respect of an Income-tax Return (ITR), which is filed electronically without a digital signature, the taxpayer is required to verify it using any one of the following modes within the time limit of 120 days from date of uploading the ITR:

i. Through Aadhaar OTP 
ii. By logging into e-filing account through net banking 
iii. EVC through Bank Account Number 
iv. EVC through Demat Account Number 
v. EVC through Bank ATM 
vi. By sending a duly signed physical copy of ITR-V through post to the CPC,

The Central Board of Direct Taxes mentioned that large number of electronically filed ITRs for the Assessment Year 2020-21 still remain pending with the Income-tax Department for want of receipt of a valid ITR-V Form at CPC, Bengaluru or pending e-Verification from the taxpayers concerned.

In law, consequences of failure to verify the ITR within the time allowed is significant as such an ITR is/can be declared non-est. Thereafter, the consequences for non-filing an ITR, as specified in the Income-tax Act, 1961 ('the Act') follow.

In this context, it has been decided by the Board to provide one-time relaxation for submission of ITR-V/e Verification for resolving the grievances of the taxpayers associated with non-verification of ITRs for the Assessment Year 2020-21 and to regularize such ITRs which have either become non-est or have remained pending with Income-tax Department for want of receipt of respective ITR-V Form or pending e-Verification.

Therefore, in respect of all ITRs for Assessment Year 2020-21 which were uploaded electronically by the taxpayers within the time allowed under section 139 of the Act and which have remained incomplete due to non-submission of ITR-V Form/ pending e-Verification, the Board , in exercise of its powers under section 119(2)(a) of the Act, hereby permits verification of such returns either by sending a duly signed physical copy of ITR-V to CPC, Bengaluru through speed post or through EVC/OTP modes as listed in para 1 above. Such verification process must be completed by 28.02.2022.

This relaxation shall not apply in those cases, where during the intervening period, Income-tax Department has already taken recourse to any other measure as specified in the Act for ensuring filing of tax return by the taxpayer concerned after declaring the return as non-est.

Further, the Board also relaxes the time-frame for issuing the intimation as provided in second proviso to sub-section

(1) of Section 143 of the Act and directs that such returns shall be processed by 30.06.2022 and intimation of processing of such returns shall be sent to the taxpayer concerned as per the laid down procedure. In refund 
cases, while determining the interest, provision of section 244A (2) of the Act would apply. It is clarified that this relaxation would be applicable to all such returns which are verified during the extended period.

In case the taxpayer concerned does not get her/his return regularized by furnishing a valid verification (either ITR-V or EVC/OTP) by 28.02.2022, necessary consequences as provided in law for non-filing the return may follow.

The Central Board of Direct Taxes mentioned that large number of electronically filed ITRs for the Assessment Year 2020-21 still remain pending with the Income-tax Department for want of receipt of a valid ITR-V Form at CPC, Bengaluru or pending e-Verification from the taxpayers concerned.

Ola has expanded into advanced two-wheeler electric vehicles manufacturing at its Futurefactory. It has already started deliveries of its e-scooters - Ola S1 and S1 Pro.

The Ola electric price starts at Rs 99,999, and the S1 Pro starts at Rs 1,29,999. In states with active subsidy grants, the Ola S1 will be much more affordable than many petrol scooters. After state subsidy in Delhi, the S1 would cost just Rs 85,099, whereas in Gujarat it would be only Rs 79,999.&nbsp;&nbsp;

Ola Electric in September this year announced that the Futurefactory will be run entirely by women. Futurefactory will employ over 10,000 women, making it the world’s largest women-only factory and the only all-women automotive manufacturing facility globally.

Ola to create a more inclusive workforce and provide economic opportunities for women across the board, it has mentioned.

A majority of these IPOs have given handsome returns to investors and only 5 out of the total IPOs launched this year, have generated negative returns, as per an IPO tracker report by brokerage Arihant Capital.&nbsp;

Indigo Paints' Rs 1,170-crore initial share sale garnered an overwhelming response from investors and was subscribed 117 times on the final day of bidding. The listing of Indigo Paints took place on February 2 with a listing premium of 75%.&nbsp;&nbsp;

MTAR Technologies&nbsp;&nbsp;

MTAR Technologies initial public offering received a strong response and was subscribed more than 200 times. The listing of MTAR Technologies, the maker of nuclear, defence and aerospace equipment, fabrication facilities and fuel cells, took place on March 30 with a listing premium of 82-89%.&nbsp;

Nazara Technologies&nbsp;

Nazara Technologies IPO’s offer for sale was of up to 5,294,392 equity shares. The Issue size was Rs 582 –583 crore. The face value of the share is Rs 4 and the Employee Reservation is Equity Shares aggregating was up to Rs 2 crore. The price band was Rs 1100 –1101. The listing of Nazara Technologies took place on February 2 with a listing premium of 80%.&nbsp;&nbsp;

GR Infraprojects&nbsp;

The Initial Public Offering (IPO) of GR Infraprojects Limited (GRIL) opened on 7 July 2021. The public issue concluded on 9 July 2021. The price band of Rs 828 – Rs 837 per equity share of the face value of Rs 5 each. The listing of GR Infraprojects took place on 19th July 2021 with a listing premium of 104.9%.&nbsp; &nbsp;

Clear Science&nbsp;

The Initial Public Offering of Clear Science opened on the same day as GR Infra IPO. The Clean Science IPO received bids for 5,26,95,440 shares against 1,23,02,672 shares, The listing of Clear Science took place on 19th July 2021 with a listing premium of 95%.&nbsp; &nbsp;

Paras Defence&nbsp;

The initial public offer of Paras Defence and Space Technologies received a whopping 304.26 times subscription on the closing day. The finalisation of allotment has been done. The listing of Paras Defence took place on 1st October 2021. (IPO) includes a fresh issue of up to Rs 140.6 crore and an offer for sale of up to 17,24,490 equity shares.&nbsp;

Nykaa&nbsp;

Nykaa operator FSN E-Commerce Ventures IPO made a strong debut on bourses on November 10. Nykaa shares were listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange at Rs 2,001 per share while the Shares of Nykaa opened at a premium of 79% at Rs 2,018 per share on the NSE as against the issue price of Rs 1,125 per share.&nbsp;

Sigachi Industries&nbsp;

Sigachi Industries stocks made a bumper listing on the Bombay Stock Exchange on November 15. The shares of cellulose-based excipient manufacturers opened at a 252.76% premium. Sigachi Industries IPO started at Rs 575 per share on the BSE. The company fixed an issue price of Rs 163 per share.&nbsp; &nbsp;

Latent View Analytics&nbsp;

Latent View Analytics stocks were listed on BSE at 160% premium on November 23. Shares of analytics services providers were listed at Rs 530 per share against its issue price of Rs 197 per share. This was Rs 333 gain per share for those who got Latent View Analytic share allotment.&nbsp;

GoColors&nbsp;

GoColors made the bumper stock market debut on November 30. The stock was listed at around 90 per cent higher premium to Rs 1316 per share on the BSE and 1310 per share on the NSE as compared to Rs 690 per share issue price at the upper end.
