Salaries in India are expected to rise by an average of 9.2% in 2025, which is a small dip from last year's 9.3% increase, due to global uncertainty and slower growth, according to global professional services firm Aon. Aon’s Annual Salary Increase and Turnover Survey for 2024-25 shows that despite global challenges, India is set for stable economic growth, and salary hikes in the country are expected to remain steady in 2025.

There is a huge lack of awareness in India regarding Public Liability Insurance Act. The PLI Act was enacted after the Bhopal gas tragedy. The amount of compensation on death is only Rs 25,000. The reimbursement of treatment expenses is only Rs 12,500. Rs 6,000 is indemnified on property damage. As such, the government needs to increase the amount of compensation.
