Asus has confirmed the launch of its new flagship-level gaming smartphone – Asus ROG Phone III – which will be the most powerful smartphone at the time of launch. The Taiwanese tech giant announced that the new smartphone will be launched during an online event on July 22. The launch event will be streamed live through Asus India’s YouTube channel and other social media handles.
As the name suggests, Asus ROG 3 will be the third smartphone in the series, succeeding last year’s Asus ROG Phone II. Interestingly though, this is the time when the company used to launch its new ‘Zen’ or ‘Z’ series smartphones but has made a slight change in its strategy.
“ROG Phone Fans. Great News! #ROGPhone3 will launch globally and in India on 22nd July 2020! India is among the first wave countries,” Asus India’s Mobile Business Head, Dinesh Sharma tweeted.
Asus has also confirmed that the new smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 865 Plus. This makes the ROG Phone III the first smartphone to come with the new chipset, making it the most powerful smartphone till date.
