On November 15, Wednesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi distributed the 15th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Yojana, totaling over Rs 18,000 crore, benefiting more than 80 million farmers. With a cumulative disbursement exceeding Rs 2.62 lakh crore across 14 installments, the initiative supports farmers. Despite its success, some eligible farmers may face non-receipt issues.
In response to such concerns, farmers experiencing non-receipt of installments can register complaints through the PM-KISAN Helpdesk. Complaints can be communicated through helpline numbers 011-24300606 and 155261, or the toll-free number 18001155266. Alternatively, emails can be directed to pmkisan-ict@gov.in or pmkisan-funds@gov.in.
For those who have not received the 15th installment (Rs2,000), complaints can be filed during weekdays through the PM-KISAN Helpdesk or by emailing the matter.
Non-compliance with e-KYC norms may be a reason for non-receipt, as the government has made it mandatory for all PM-KISAN Yojana beneficiaries. Eligible farmers are entitled to accrued benefits once the delay's cause is resolved, provided they do not fall under exclusion criteria.
In response to farmer grievances, the Central government initiated an expansive saturation campaign last month. However, achieving 100% saturation among landowners may be challenging due to exclusion criteria outlined in operational guidelines.
To address this, the ministry has developed an IT system for automated saturation, aided by the PM-KISAN Mobile App, allowing digital registration and comprehensive farmer registries.
Operational since December 1, 2018, the scheme aims to provide Rs 6,000 annually to land-holding farmer families in three equal installments. State governments identify eligible farmer families, and funds are directly transferred to their bank accounts.
