Petrol and Diesel Prices Today: The price of Petrol and Diesel remained constant on June 27, 2023. The last change in country-wide fluctuation in fuel prices was witnessed on May 21 when the Centre cut the excise duty on petrol by Rs 8 per litre and by Rs 6 per litre on diesel. The public sector oil marketing companies (OMCs) including Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) change the prices daily in line with international benchmark prices and forex rates. Changes in petrol and diesel costs are implemented at 6 am every day.
In Delhi, commuters must pay Rs 96.72 for petrol for one litre of petrol, and Rs 89.62 for diesel. A litre each of petrol and diesel costs Rs 106.31 and Rs 94.27, respectively, in Mumbai, while for Kolkata, the respective corresponding rates are Rs 106.03 and Rs 92.76. In Chennai, meanwhile, a litre of petrol is priced at Rs 102.63, and diesel, at Rs 94.24.
