New year offer: Indigo, AirAsia provide heavy discounts to passengers
With the new year inching closer, two airlines are offering heavy discounts to their customers, other airlines may follow the suit.
Major airlines are expected to come up with new offers and discounts expecting passenger traffic growth in the domestic aviation market as we are just few days away to enter the new year.
Airlines like AirAsia and Indigo have already come up with heavy discounts and cheap tickets for travelling period up to one year.
AirAsia has launched a "2018 Travel Deals" sale at starting price as low as Rs 999 for passengers flying within India.
This sale has limited period offer and is available for booking till December 10, 2017, for travelling between December 04, 2017 and January 2019.
Passengers flying to destinations like Bengaluru, Ranchi, Kolkata, Goa and many more places are also offered with discounts having tickets ranging between Rs 1,099 and Rs 2,000.
Interglobe Aviation (Indigo) too have launched low fares sale at a starting price of Rs 1005. However, the deadline for booking and travelling period is not mentioned on its website, but tickets can be availed from the portal.
With Indigo, a passenger can travel between Bagdogra and Guwahati at Rs 1,005, Jammu - Srinagar at Rs 1,112, Coimbatore - Chennai at Rs 1,195, Kochi - Chennai at Rs 1,215, Visakhapatnam at Rs 1,259, Patna - Kolkata at RS 1,264.
Other destinations covered in the Indigo's low fare were- Agartala - Kolkata at Rs 1,282, Bengaluru - Chennai at Rs 1,285, Chennai - Coimbatore at Rs 1,298 and Guwahati - Bagdogra at Rs 1,305.
Apart from this, Indigo is also offering heavy discounts to students and senior citizens.
The website stated that students above the age of 12 will get 8% discount on the base fare along with 25 kgs of baggage allowance. While senior citizens above the age of 60 will get 8% off on the base fare.
