World Economic Forum 2023, Davos: The World Economic Forum (WEF) meet is scheduled to be held in Davos, Switzerland, from January 16 to January 20, 2023. Since pandemic, this will be the first time the Annual Meeting has returned to its traditional January slot under the theme of 'Cooperation in a Fragmented World'.
The WEF aims to look at how they can tackle the imponderable and interlinked challenges the world is facing and find solutions through public-private cooperation.
The event will be hosted by the World Economic Forum in cooperation with the Swiss government and the Canton of Graubünden.
The four-day-long event will cover a wide range of topics for interaction and learning, giving leaders the necessary tools to address the current complexity and build for the future.
The meeting will feature addresses by key heads of state and government as well as various geo-economic and geopolitical deliberations such as the Country Strategy Dialogues, Diplomacy Dialogues and the Informal Gathering of World Economic Leaders (IGWEL) meetings. It will also gather the Forum’s foremost business communities, such as the International Business Council, the Community of Chairpersons and the Industry Governors.
1. Along with India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi, other leaders from across the world, including G7 and G20 countries, as well as heads of International Organisations will be participating.
2. Leaders from the foremost civil society, labour, media organisations, as well as top thinkers and academics.
3. Chief executives and chairs of the Forum 1,000 Partner companies actively engaged in initiatives and communities such as the International Business Council, Community of Chairpersons and Industry Governors.
4. Members of the Global Innovators and Technology Pioneers community, the Community of Global Shapers, the Forum of Young Global Leaders and the Schwab Foundation for Social Entrepreneurship.
