Happy Radha Ashtami 2022: In many parts of India, 15 days after the Krishna Janmashtami, Radha Ashtami or Radha Jayanti is celebrated. It is celebrated to commemorate the birth of Shri Radha.

On the eighth day of Shukla Paksha in the Hindu holy month of Bhadrapada, this festival is celebrated. This year, the Radha Ashtami falls on September 4.

Radha, known to be the incarnation of Goddess Lakshmi, was the adopted daughter of Vrashbhanu and Kriti.

It is said that she descended on the earth 5000 years ago in Mathura’s Barsana.
