The Indian stock market marked a new feat in Wednesday’s session as the market capitalisation of the BSE-listed companies crossed the $4 trillion mark
Tata Motors share price: At close, shares of Tata Motors traded 2.09 per cent higher at Rs 712.15 apiece on the BSE. The market capitalisation of the company stood at Rs 2,36,618.84 crore.
While TVS Motor Company shares hit a record high of Rs 1,850 apiece on BSE, Tata Motors and Hero MotoCorp clocked 52-week highs at Rs 702.9 apiece and Rs 3,741.1 apiece, respectively.

Tata Motors CV business witnessed strong 8% EBITDA margin (up 280bps yoy/480bps qoq) during Q3 FY21, despite volumes still lower by 4% yoy (up 61% qoq). Tata Motors Share price: JLR 3QFY21 retail volume improved 13% QoQ & share of EVs rose to 12% Jaguar Land Rover’s (JLR) Q3 FY21 retail sales came in at 128K units (-9% YoY), broadly in line with CLSA’s monthly tracker. The Jaguar brand declined 21% YoY in Q3 while Land Rover performed better (-5% YoY). China volume grew 19% YoY resulting in 25% volume share (vs 19% in Q3 FY20). The volume share of electric vehicles (EV) (BEV and PHEV) increased to 12% in Q3, from 6% in Q2.

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) retail sales for the quarter ending 31 Dec 2020 were 128469 vehicles, 13.1% higher than the 113569 vehicles sold qoq, but down 9% on the same period last year. Jaguar Land Rover China sales were particularly encouraging, up 20.2% on the prior quarter and 19.1% yoy. Retail sales in most other regions also continued to recover and were up significantly on the prior quarter in North America (+31.7%), Overseas (+26.6%) and Europe (+20.5%).
