Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman increased the long term capital gains tax (LTCG) from 10 per cent to 12.50 per cent and the short term capital gains (STCG) tax from 15 per cent to 20 per cent. There is one relaxation for mutual fund investors with a holding period of more than a year. The exemption limit has been increased from Rs 1 lakh to Rs 1.25 lakh.
Invesco India PSU Equity Fund Direct-Growth has given 99.66 per cent annualised SIP returns in one year. The fund has assets under management (AUM) of Rs 1,363 crore, while its net asset value (NAV) is worth Rs 80.36.
