Gold hit a record high of Rs 79,900 per 10 gram on Friday in the national capital, rising by Rs 550 on strong festive season demand, according to the All India Sarafa Association. The precious metal of 99.9 per cent purity had closed at Rs 79,350 per 10 gram in the previous trade on Thursday.
