Biotech regulatory Genetic Engineering Appraisal Committee (GEAC) has approved the environmental release of Genetically Modified (GM) Mustard in the country. The central government has given a big gift to the farmers before Diwali. A meeting of the cabinet and CCEA was held today under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The maximum increase in the MSP of lentils has been done by Rs 500 per quintal. The cabinet has increased the MSP of mustard by Rs 400 per quintal. At the same time, the MSP of jute has been increased by Rs 110 per quintal. All the recommendations of CACP have been approved by the cabinet.
