भारत के विकास को शक्ति प्रदान करते हुए विश्व की अग्रणी विद्युत कंपनी बनने के विज़न के साथ NTPC साल दर साल कामयाबी की नई मिसाल कायम कर रही है। NTPC देश की सबसे बड़ी विद्युत उत्पादक कंपनी है। कोयला, गैस, सोलर, जल विद्युत और पवन विद्युत संयंत्रों से कंपनी देश की बिजली की ज़रूरतों को पूरा कर रही है। साल 2010 में NTPC को महारत्ना कंपनियों की लिस्ट में शामिल किया गया। NTPC देश की विद्युत ज़रूरतों को पूरी करने के साथ-साथ सामाजिक दायित्वों को भी जिम्मेदारी से निभाती रही है। कंपनी अपने CSR कार्यक्रम के तहत कई राज्यों में अपने विद्युत स्टेशनों के आस-पास महत्वाकांक्षी जन कल्याणकारी योजनाएं चला रही है।

Companies evading CSR spend will get prosecuted, crackdown in offing

The government has changed its soft approach on its corporate social responsibility (CSR) law from ‘comply or explain’ to ‘comply or get prosecuted’. An executive order to this effect has been issued by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) recently, sources said.
