According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp has started showing in-app alerts to some users informing them about the change in its Terms of Service. The screenshots shared by the blog site reveal that few users are getting notification which basically informs about the things that are changing with the new Terms of Service.
The Facebook-owned messaging platform has already clarified that the personal chats and information of users will remain end to end encrypted. The company said that while that will remain unchanged, it is making it easier for users to chat with businesses.
In a blogpost, WhatsApp said: "We previously encountered a great deal of misinformation about this update, and we continue to work hard to clear up any confusion. As a reminder, we’re building new ways to chat or shop with a business on WhatsApp that are entirely optional. Personal messages will always be end-to-end encrypted, so WhatsApp can’t read or listen to them.
