Popular messaging app WhatsApp is now coming up with another new feature to make chatting pleasurable for the eyes. Yes, it will make your chatting sessions less of a strain for your eyes! And what is this WhatsApp feature? It is called WhatsApp Dark Mode feature that changes the white background to black, making it more comforting for eyes. Besides eye comfort there is another advantage of this mode. It will make your smartphone last longer. So, when you use WhatsApp Dark Mode, your device consumes less battery.
Though the feature has not be officially launched yet, it is expected to be available on your app very soon. The feature was first spotted in September this year, according to a Hindustan report. It is believed that the feature to be very similar to WhatsApp’s UI on Windows Phone smartphones.
Dark Mode is still under development, Wabetainfo tweeted recently. Facebook is also reportedly planning to launch a Dark Mode on its Messenger. Twitter has already introduced the dark mode, and Instagram is still working on it. Notably, there are some third-party apps by downloading them you can enable Dark Mode-like theme on WhatsApp. However, these do not fully replicate Dark Mode experience.

YouTube and Google Maps already support dark mode. You can also find this feature in Google’s latest Android iteration, Android Pie. Besides this, the Facebook-owned app has recently launched many other features. Most significant among them are WhatsApp Business and private reply features.
With the help of the WhatsApp Business feature, business entities can grow their business connection to large number of people. Some banks also recently adopted this feature for customer service and relationship building. WhatsApp private reply feature allows users to privately chat with a member of a group without letting other members in the same group know.
