Protective mobile cases are unable to provide your phone with much protection. To solve this problem, a 25-year-old German student has come up with a possible solution. The ‘Mobile Airbag’can protects your phone from getting a crack when it falls from your hand.
Do you often drop your phone and the screen develops the crack? It is a common mistake done by every individual which leads to the cracked phone screen.
Smartphones often develop cracks after falling from hands or a place we keep them. It is disheartening when your new phone develops a screen crack. Even protective mobile cases are unable to provide your phone with much protection. To solve this problem, a 25-year-old German student has come up with a possible solution. The ‘Mobile Airbag’can protects your phone from getting a crack when it falls from your hand.
The idea of ‘Mobile Airbag’ came to Philip Frenzel's mind after, the inventor of the device, broke his smartphone. He started working on the idea to save the pricey smartphones from developing a crack and after four years of research, he invented a case which has inbuilt sensors to detect whenever a smartphone is in free-fall, according to a Times Now report.
The phone case has eight springs inside which stick out automatically when the device is in a free fall. The springs save the phone from the breakage. Users can manually fold the springs back inside the casing after the drop.

Each corner of the ‘Mobile Airbag’ has two springs. According to the report, it is yet to be known what measures 'active damping' (AD) phone case has to prevent it from activating accidentally.
However, it is not yet known how the case will work on uneven surface, as it was not tested on any uneven surface. Philip Frenzel has received a patent for this 'active damping' (AD) phone case. It could be available in the market soon. Broadcaster Sudwestrundfunk posted a video of the case.
