Buying new smartphone? Jio offers Rs 2,200 cashback, 50GB data; check full list of eligible smartphones
Jio Offer: The offer is similar to Reliance's 'JioFootball Offer' launched in February this year.
If you are going to buy, or have just bought, a new 4G smartphone, you can get this big benefit from Reliance Jio. The telco is offering Rs 2,200 cashback and 50GB data to anyone who has a new smartphone. The Indian smartphone market is making the big shift from feature phones to smartphones and Jio plans to tap this growing user base.
The offer is similar to Reliance's 'JioFootball Offer' launched in February this year. The 'JioFootball Offer' was valid for 22 smartphones brands - Samsung, Xiaomi, Nokia, Intex, Huawei, Blackberry, LYF, Motorola, Micromax, 10.or, Asus, Panasonic, LG, Alcatel, Comio, Jivi, Celkon, Swipe, Ziox, Zen, iVoomi and Centric. However, the inclusion of Infinix in the list shows that the Jio might have added some more brands to the list.
If you have got a brand new phone of any of these brands, you can avail the offer by going for a recharge of Rs 198 or Rs 299 for the first time. You will have to activate your smartphone on the Jio SIM. This simply means that you will have to get a new Jio SIM. So the recharge amount will have Rs 99 added to it as Prime subscription fee. However, if you are an existing Jio user, you will have to give up any existing offer to migrate to this offer.
"No, two or more offers cannot be clubbed together and if you have availed any previous offers, you cannot migrate to this new offer," said a mailer by Jio making its existing customer eligible for the offer.
The Rs 2,200 cashback will be in form of 44 coupons each of Rs 50. You will have to use the coupons on or before 31st May, 2022
In addition to the cashback, an additional 5GB data will be given for 10 recharges respectively.
The coupons will be credited to your MyJio app after the first recharge and you will be able to use one coupon per month only for Rs 198/Rs 299 recharge through the app only. If you will do any other recharge, the scheme will get lapsed.
