7th Pay Commission latest news today - 7th CPC: The central government has taken many decisions this year to provide relief to pensioners. Modi government has also announced some gifts for these pensioners. One of these decisions taken by Modi government for pensioners is that of extension of date for submitting digital life certificate. Now, the pensioners can submit their digital life certificate by February next year.
Before extending deadline for submission of digital life certificate, the government has also provided relief to them on pension payment order (PPO). Pensioners can now store PPO in Digi locker. This will reduce complete reliance on physical copy of pension payment order.
The government has also launched door step service for digital life certificate. With the launch of this innovative service, pensioners will not be required to visit the pension disbursing agency office and banks. The pensioners will be able to generate the life certificate either by visiting the nearest post office or through the doorstep banking service offered through postmen or Gramin Dak Sevaks. Postman will submit digital certificate online by charging a nominal fee of Rs 70.
