Giving big relief to tax payers, the government has extended income tax returns filing date for FY 2020-21 till September 30. This has been done keeping in mind the hardship faced by common man during these difficult times, said a statement released by the Ministry of Finance.

"The due date of furnishing of Return of Income for the Assessment Year 2021-22, which is 31st July, 2021 under sub-section (1) of section 139 of the Act, is extended to 30th September, 2021."
