D-Street Newsmakers: Interglobe Aviation, PSU and IT stocks among stocks that made headlines today

Indian equity benchmarks after hitting fresh record highs in intraday trade ended on a flattish note amid weak global cues. Nifty at the close ended lower by 0.05 per cent at 22,957.1, while Sensex closed weak by 0.01 per cent at 75,410.39. Meanwhile, Bank Nifty continued to outperform the headline indices. 

“As it was the last trading day of the week, investors didn't want to increase exposure to equities and rather followed global cues,” said Prashanth Tapse, Senior VP (Research), Mehta Equities.

Shares of the company ended over 0.5 per cent lower at Rs 673.1 per share even as it reported a 31.6 per cent on-year increase in consolidated net profit at Rs 3,174 crore during the March ended quarter.
