D-Street Newsmakers: Divi’s Laboratories, HDFC Bank, LIC and IREDA among 10 stocks that made headlines today

Indian equities after hitting a new high of 23,039 on the Nifty saw some profit booking, dragging the benchmark index lower by 24.65 points to 22,932.45 levels.

Indian equity benchmarks shrugging off weak global cues scaled fresh peaks in intra-day trade amid broad-based buying. Nevertheless, profit booking in select pockets, including Metal, Energy and FMCG weighed on sentiment, leading equities to end lower. At the close, Nifty ended with a cut of 0.11 per cent or 24.65 points at 22,932.45, while Sensex lost 0.03 per cent or 19.89 points and ended at 75,390.5, after climbing past 76,000 levels for the first time in trade today.
