Sonata Software declared an interim dividend of Rs 7 per share of a face value of Rs 1, i.e., a 700 per cent payout for the financial year 2023–24.

As per the company's communiqué, the interim dividend will be paid to the registered shareholders on or after November 22, 2023, through electronic mode or by dividend warrants, as applicable.

In addition, the board has also approved and recommended a bonus issue of one equity share for every one equity share held by the shareholders of the company as on the record date, i.e., in the ratio of 1:1.
"The bonus issue of equity shares will be subject to approval by the shareholders through postal ballot and any other applicable statutory
and regulatory approvals," the company's regulatory filing read.
"The bonus shares, once allotted, shall rank pari-passu in all respects and carry the same rights as the existing equity shares and shall be entitled to participate in full in any dividend and other corporate action, recommended and declared after the new equity shares are allotted," the filing further said.
