Jeevan Pramaan Patra: If you are a pensioner of 80 years or above, November is an important month for you. Pensioners have to submit their digital life certificate i.e. Jeevan Pramaan Patra by the end of November.
The central government is also running an awareness campaign for this. The Central Government has launched a nationwide campaign with the aim of increasing awareness about the use of Digital Life Certificate among central pensioners.
Big campaign for pensioners
Under this, a nationwide campaign is being run from November 1 to 30, 2023, at 500 places in 100 cities across the country.

In this, a target has been set to reach 50 lakh pensioners in collaboration with 17 pension disbursing banks, ministries/departments, Pensioners Welfare Association, UIDAI, and Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology.
Emphasis on digital life certificate
The Department of Pension and Pensioners' Welfare (DoPPW) is promoting 'Jeevan Pramaan' or Digital Life Certificate (DLC) on a large scale to make 'ease of living' for pensioners.
The facility to submit digital life certificate using biometric devices was introduced in the year 2014.
Subsequently, the department worked with the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) and the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) to create a face authentication system using Aadhaar.
Its objective was to provide the facility of submitting life certificate from any Android-based smartphone wherever possible.
How can one easily submit life certificate?
You can submit your Digital Life Certificate through Umang App, face authentication and doorstep banking.
Step 1-
Download and install 'AadhaarFaceRD' 'Jeevan Pramaan Face App' on your Android smartphone with 5MP or above camera.
Step 2-
Keep your Aadhaar number with you, which you have given to the Pension Distributor Authority.
Step 3-
Go to Operator Authentication and scan the face.
Step 4-
Enter your details.
Step 5-
Take a photo of yourself with the front camera of the phone and submit it.
How to submit life certificate through doorstep banking?
Step 1-
For this, you will have to first book a visit to Jeevan Pramaan Centre or your bank for doorstep banking.
Step 2-
When the operator comes to your house, give him your Aadhaar and mobile number.
Step 3-
He will verify your ID with the biometric device.
Step 4-
Once authentication is done, it will generate your digital life certificate. You can keep your copy from the operator.
