The Indian markets on Tuesday witnessed uptrend at the close, snapping two days’ decline. The Sensex jumped over 500 points and the Nifty50 above the 16750-mark, led by the metal and IT stocks at the close. The BSE Sensex surged 530 points or 0.95 per cent to 56,351, while the Nifty50 gained over 157 points or 0.94 per cent to 16770 at the market close.
