BSE SME market value crosses Rs 1.5 lakh crore mark for first time

Stock exchange BSE said on Monday that the market capitalisation of the companies listed on its SME platform crossed the Rs 1,50,000 crore mark for the first time ever.
The market value, also known as mcap, reached an all-time high of Rs 1,51,333 crore on Monday, according to the exchange.
BSE's SME platform, set up in accordance with the rules and regulations laid down by capital market regulator Sebi, offers an entrepreneur- and investor-friendly environment that enables the listing of SMEs from the unorganised sector into a regulated and organised sector.
The BSE SME platform provides a host of opportunities to various market participants. It enables entrepreneurs to raise equity capital for the growth and expansion of SMEs in a cost-effective manner and investors to identify and invest in good companies at an early stage.
