Aadhaar-PAN Link: The deadline to link PAN with Aadhaar is approaching soon. If you are one of those who have not yet linked your PAN card with your Aadhaar card, then you need to know that the last date for linking is March 31, 2023.
The Income Tax department has made it mandatory for every citizen of the country to link permanent account numbers (PAN) with an Aadhaar card. If one fails to do so before the deadline, then his/her 10-digit unique alphanumeric PAN number will become inoperative from 1 April 2023.
"As per IT Act,1961, it is mandatory for all PAN holders, who do not fall under the exempt category, to link their PAN with Aadhaar before 31st April. From April 1st, the unlinked PAN shall become inoperative," Income Tax India shared.
