Vande Bharat Express, India's first semi-high speed train gets big recognition! Postal stamp released

Ministry of Railways tweeted, "Indian Railways’ Integral Coach Factory(ICF) in collaboration with Department of Posts has recently released a commemorative stamp on Indian railways' first indigenous semi high-speed train set Vande Bharat Express." (Photo: Reuters)

On the Vande Bharat Express (Train 18) stamp, Integral Coach Factory and the name of the train Vande Bharat Express is written in 2 languages namely English and in Hindi. The background of the Vande Bharat Express (Train 18) postal stamp carries a faded photograph of the interior of the train which is the chair car of the train. The Vande Bharat Express (Train 18) postal stamp also claims that the Vande Bharat Express is India’s first indigenous semi high-speed train. At the bottom of the stamp, Integral Coach Factory (ICF) that manufactured Vande Bharat Express is also mentioned. (Photo: Reuters)

Currently, Vande Bharat Express operates on the Delhi-Varanasi route for which it takes eight hours to complete the one-way journey. While travelling from New Delhi to Varanasi, the Vande Bharat Express passes through three railway zones — Northern Railway, North Central Railway and North Eastern Railway. (Photo: IANS)

All Train 18 coaches are equipped with automatic doors, bio-vacuum toilets, GPS-based audio-visual passenger information system, onboard hotspot WiFi for entertainment purposes and very comfortable seating.
