Women’s Entrepreneurship Day 2022: You must have heard this many times that ‘Women are all meant for household work and to run their family’. Not only this, it is also said that they are responsible for the healthy well being of the family.
Men are the bread earners of the family and responsible for fulfilling all demand of the family. Men have always been at the top of the leading board for years and dominating the world of business. However, dynamics are rapidly changing and a whole new era for business women have launched across the globe.
Today, women are working dedicatedly and establishing their businesses in a variety of industries including publishing, beauty, lifestyle, technology, fashion, and manufacturing.
To celebrate their enthusiasm, courage, and power of breaking all the stereotype thoughts bounded around their community in the society, every year November 19 is marked as Women’s Entrepreneurship Day across the world. It’s time to celebrate, recognise, and promote the inclusion of women entrepreneurs in the world of business.
Puja Issar, Managing Director, AnitaB.org India opined, “The idea that everyone should have equal opportunity, regardless of their gender, social status, or background should always be a priority for all of us. My goal is to make a significant contribution to increasing the number of women in the Indian technology industry.”

It is evident that there is always a struggle for women community to chart their path and achieve success at the same time. But, they always work harder to run behind their dreams and survive every hardship, with panache. Sometimes, women face sexism at work, unfriendly environment, and sometimes, never get a chance to work at a high level of position in the organisations.
Swetha Kochar, Partner at PKC added, “My first advice to women is to dream big. Put constraints aside and think of what you really want to do. And when you dream big, you start attracting the right people who don't constrain you, but instead empower you. I hope that as we grow, we see a wider group of like minded women entrepreneurs ready to take on the economy, one business at a time”.
But, undoubtedly from bringing a tremendous and positive shift in the work culture, helping other women, to fight back all the challenges, and breaking stereotypes, women entrepreneurs are doing it all with positive and strong attitude.
Sapna Aggarwal, Creative Director, ANSA Architecture & Interiors noted, "We have to project that we are strong and tough. I believe we need more women in leadership positions who can be on the top without losing their authenticity and the feminine values they possess and are just willing to do business in a different way. I think we all should still be able to be genuinely ourselves, be compassionate, be soft, be empathetic and still be able to rise to the top.”
It’s very important to develop a better working environment in the organisations, more diverse and inclusive organisational structure should be maintained to share long-term progress toward gender equality.
