The security features in the current series of banknotes, such as watermark, security thread, a latent image of denomination numeral, denomination numeral in colour shifting ink, number panels, see-through register, electro-type, bleed lines, etc., continue to remain, their positions may have changed in the new design notes.
A few new other elements added in these notes are numerals in Devnagari and the logo of Swachh Bharat. The new notes also have design elements in myriad and intricate forms and shapes.

The new Rs 50 note has salient features like see-through register with denominational numeral 50, denominational numeral ५० in Devnagari, a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi at the centre, cicro letters ‘RBI’, ‘भारत’, ‘INDIA’ and ‘50’. It has a windowed demetalised security thread with inscriptions ‘भारत’ and RBI, Guarantee Clause, Governor’s signature with Promise Clause and RBI emblem towards right of Mahatma Gandhi portrait.
The new note also includes Ashoka Pillar emblem on the right, Mahatma Gandhi portrait and electrotype (50) watermarks. Its number panel with numerals growing from small to big on the top left side and bottom right.
Rs 200 and 100 bank new notes:

The new Rs 100/200 note has a see-through register with denominational numeral 100/200, a latent image with denominational numeral 100/200, denominational numeral १००/२०० in Devnagari, a portrait of Mahatma Gandhi at the centre and micro letters ‘RBI’, ‘भारत’, ‘India’ and ‘100/200’,
It also has a windowed security thread with inscriptions ‘भारत’ and RBI with colour shift, while the colour of the thread changes from green to blue when the note is tilted, guarantee Clause, Governor’s signature with promise clause and RBI emblem towards right of Mahatma Gandhi portrait and Ashoka Pillar emblem on the right.
It has a Mahatma Gandhi portrait and electrotype (100/200) watermarks, number panel with numerals in ascending font on the top left side and bottom right side, While for visually impaired, an intaglio or raised printing of Mahatma Gandhi portrait, Ashoka Pillar emblem, raised triangular identification mark with micro-text 100/200, four angular bleed lines both on the right and left sides.
