The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Governor Shaktikanta Das will be making important announcement regarding monetary policy on Friday (February 5). The RBI Governor will be addressing media at 10 am. Post policy press conference telecast has been scheduled at 12:00 noon on the same day.

Earlier today, RBI official twitter handle informed about the schduled announcement on monetary policy and tweeted, "Watch out for Monetary Policy statement by RBI Governor @DasShaktikanta at 10:00 am on February 05, 2021 YouTube:    Address by Shri Shaktikanta Das, Governor, Reserve Bank of India. Earlier on Wednesday, RBI governor Shaktikanta Das along with members of monetary policy committees (MPC) have begun policy meet from February 03 and the final outcome will be announced on February 05, 2021.

All eyes will be on RBI Governor Shaktikanta Das and it will be interesting to see what policy changes the RBI announces days after the Union Budget 2021.  

It is widely expected the MPC may keep the key policy rates unchanged. The MPC will, however, ensure the availability of adequate liquidity that will be needed to spur investment in the infrastructure sector.
