Railways cancels 300 trains - Check if your train is on this list

Indian Railways has cancelled 321 trains on Sunday due to some operational reasons. Most of the cancelled ones were the passenger trains. At the same time, Railways also decided to cancel some special trains like mails and express ones. Traffic congestion is being created due to ongoing construction and repair work in various railway zones. Therefore, the trains were cancelled for the better operation of Indian railways. A list of cancelled trains was released on the Railways' website of National Train Enquiry System (NTS).

Full Refund on cancellation of 'Reserved Tickets': 

The list of trains that were cancelled by the Railways was released on the website of National Train Enquiry System. The announcements for the same are also being made to the passengers through proclamation on stations. Enquiries can also be done by calling or sending an SMS at 139, a railway enquiry number. Also, the passengers, whose trains are cancelled can get their full payment refunded on the cancellation of their respective tickets.  

Indian Railways runs approximately 12,600 trains in the country, on which about 2.3 million people travel on a daily basis. However, Indian Railways do cancel some trains from time to time in different parts of the country in order to improve the structural and other operating systems of the railways.
