Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Kabir Singh raked in whopping Rs 70 crore in its first weekend and continued its dream run on Monday. Even though the official figures of Monday are yet to be out Film trade analyst, critic and influencer Sumit Kadel tweeted that early estimates are in the range of Rs 17 to Rs 18 crore. It also stars Kiara Advani in leading role.
The collection is highly impressive for a weekday, given that the ICC ODI World Cup is also going on. "Now the early estimates are in the range of ₹ 17-18 cr nett. #KabirSingh," Kadel tweeted. In another tweet he said that just 25 per cent decline on first Monday after a huge weekend says that the film is a long run material.
"Film which collects just 25% less on its first monday after the huge first weekend is a sign that film is a long run material. #KabirSingh has a extremely bright chance of touching ₹ 200 cr nett. ₹ 150 cr will come by the end if its 2nd weekend," he tweeted. Kadel added that at this pace, Kabir Singh is set to be a Rs 200 crore blockbuster.

Meanwhile, movie critic and business analyst Taran Adarsh was also full of praises for the film. "#KabirSingh is firing on all cylinders at the BO... Total: ₹ 70.83 cr. India biz," he tweeted.
Adarsh was also impressed by the performances of the leading stars.
"Not the typical romantic saga. Unconventional, but powerful. Shahid is outstanding, career-best act. Kiara is lovely. Director Sandeep is an incredible storyteller. Overstretched runtime is a deterrent. #KabirSinghReview," he said in his review for the film. Kabir Singh has emerged as the biggest non-holiday release of the year.
