The movie has created huge buzz among Bollywood fans right after the launch of its trailer and songs.
Film Critic and Business Analyst, Sumit Kadel told Zee Business TV, ''The movie has created a huge buzz among fans and is expected to earn over 35 to 40 crore on its release day. Salman Khan has a huge fan base and the movie is expected to gain massive audience on opening day.''
While the movie is releasing on Eid i.e 5th June, but in case Eid falls on 6th June depending upon the sighting of the moon, the occupancy is expected to reduce a bit to Rs 30 crore on its opening day, added Kadel.
The movie is made with a budget of Rs 120 to Rs 130 crore, including printing and promotions and is releasing on around 4,500 screens in India. As it is being released on 5th June, it may get a bit less traction due to India Vs South Africa World Cup match, India's first match in the tournament.
As far as competition is concerned the movie may get into a battle with Hollywood offering Dark Phoenix from the X-Men franchise. Earlier releases by Salman during Eid have made opening records and the proof of this are films like Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Sultan, Tiger Zinda Hai, Ek Tha Tiger and Race 3 that bagged Rs 40.3 crore, Rs 36.5 crore, Rs 34.1 crore, Rs 32.92 crore and Rs 29.1 crore, respectively.
