Mumbai Airport flight operations to be impacted on THESE dates — Check Date, Time

Due to an aerial display by the Indian Air Force (IAF) between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM on January 12, 2024, to January 14, 2024, flight operations on both runways at Mumbai Airport will remain closed during the time period.

The Indian low-cost carrier Akasa Air stated in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter) that the flights will be impacted for the above reasons and also mentioned that all passengers will get a full refund on their existing booking on cancellation or can rebook an alternate available flight at no additional cost. The IAF has organized an aerial display in Mumbai as part of the Indian Air Force outreach programme in coordination with the Government of Maharashtra over Marine Drive.

The display is an outreach programme primarily aimed at creating awareness and fostering a deeper connection between the Indian Air Force and the local community and will showcase some captivating displays and demonstrations of the skills, capabilities, and professionalism of the IAF.

The event will comprise of aerobatic displays by the Suryakiran Aerobatic Display Team (SKAT) and the ‘Sarang’ Helicopter display team.

The event will also feature various aerial activities, including a flypast and low-level aerobatic display by the Su-30 MKI, freefall and parachute displays by the ‘Akashganga’ team, and C-130 aircraft.
