Vodafone launches new Rs 396 prepaid plan
The telecom operator has been revising several of its prepaid plans, and as part of that action, it has also revised its Rs 399 prepaid plan, bringing down data benefits but extended the validity period a bit.
In a bid to retain a customer base and face the emerging competition in the telecom market, Vodafone has launched Rs 396 unlimited calling plan for its prepaid users. The prepaid recharge plan offers unlimited voice calling, 1.4 GB data per day and 100 SMS per day for a validity period of 69 days from the date of recharge. Further, users will also be able to get access to the Vodafone Play app, which is the company's content app with more than 5,000 movies and over 300 Live TV channels.
The telecom operator has been revising several of its prepaid plans, and as part of that action, it has also revised its Rs 399 prepaid plan, bringing down data benefits but extended the validity period a bit. However, the new Rs 396 prepaid plan is offering similar benefits as the previous Rs 399 plan, according to TelecomTalk.
Under the revised Rs 399 prepaid plan, the company now offers 1GB data per day for 84 days, while the same plan previously used to offer 1.4GB data per day, unlimited voice calling along with 100 SMS per day for 70 days. Earlier, the plan was valid for 84 days but only for select Vodafone prepaid customers, but now every Vodafone customer with this plan would get the same validity period of 84 days, said the report.
The Rs 396 prepaid plan comes as a replacement to the Rs 399 plan, extending unlimited voice calling without any FUP limit since Vodafone Idea has removed the limit on voice calling, said the report, adding that the plan offers 1.4GB data per day and 100 SMS per day for 69 days from the date of recharge.
