UK-based Vodafone Plc to get Rs 4900 crore from Government of India in retrospective tax case
The government has announced that they will refund the retrospective tax implemented on Vodafone. The amount of refundable tax is Rs 7900 crore. The issue was pending in court for years.

The government has announced that they will refund the retrospective tax implemented on Vodafone. The amount of refundable tax is Rs 7900 crore. The issue was pending in court for years.
Although Vodafone India isn’t going to benefit anything from this, the amount will be given to one of the Vodafone promoters. The whopping refundable amount will go to UK-based Vodafone Group Plc.
Vodafone Group Plc will receive the refundable retrospective tax within 7-days from the Government of India.
