GST: Jaguar Land Rover India announces new prices for its product line; check them here

Luxury car maker – Jaguar Land Rover today announced new prices for its product line in India. The prices have been revised so as to pass on the tax benefits arising from GST to its customers.

Jaguar Land Rover India on Saturday announced new prices for its entire product range in the country following the rollout of the Goods and Service Tax (GST) midnight of July 1.
Prices of the luxury vehicle brand have been revised for JLR’s new product launches in India as well to pass on tax benefits to its customers.
“We are very pleased to welcome the dawn of the new GST era in India and are happy to announce that we are ready for GST and our customers can purchase Jaguar & Land Rover cars at the new GST prices with immediate effect from any of our 25 retail outlets across India,” Rohit Suri, President and Managing Director, Jaguar Land Rover India, said.
These prices the company said will be effective from July 1, 2017 itself. The prices have been cut by nearly 7%, a report by PTI said.
Jaguar Land Rover currently produces five name-plates in India, three of which are XE, XF and XJ and two Land Rover name-plates - Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque.
Luxury cars and SUVs will attract a GST rate of 28%. Additionally those cars with engine capacity of 1500cc will attract an additional cess of 15% under the new tax regime. This would bring down the overall tax incidence nearly 50% in comparison to the earlier system, the PTI report said.

Jaguar F-PACE starting at Rs 67.37 lakh
Jaguar XJ starting at Rs 97.39 lakh.
The Land Rover range in India included
Discovery Sport starting at Rs 40.04 Lakhs.
Range Rover Evoque starting at Rs 42.37 Lakhs.
Range Rover Sport starting at Rs 89.44 Lakhs.
Range Rover starting at Rs 158.65 Lakhs.
“Jaguar and Land Rover vehicles are available in India through 25 authorised outlets in Ahmedabad, Aurangabad, Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Gurgaon, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Kolkata, Kochi, Karnal, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Mangalore, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune, Raipur and Noida,” the company said.
