April 2024 car discount: Automobile companies and their dealers have begun the Financial Year '25 by giving discounts on popular cars and models. It has been generally seen that car and two-wheeler companies dole out discounts and offers in March in order to the end of a financial year on a high, but carbuyers can enjoy big discounts in April this year because dealers are keen to give discounts to clear their inventory.
Dealers put up advance orders to stock up for heavy carbuying season like Diwali, Navratra, wedding season and the end of financial years. However, in case the sales don't match the anticipated numbers, then the dealers have to clear the inventory lying in the stockyard because carbuyers these day research VIN and vehicle production history and are not willing to buy cars that are manufactured a long back and sitting at the dealers and showrooms.
As per industry experts, the dealer level inventory has hit a high of 3.1 lakh units at the start of FY25, and in order to clear the backlog, companies and dealers are on an average giving a discount of 2.5-3 per cent from the ex-showroom price.
