India’s renewable energy capacity set to reach 359 GW by FY30, says Jefferies

Iran has said that it will not impose "traditional fees" on ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz, but is considering a new framework tied to security coordination, according to Al Jazeera.

Speaking to Al Jazeera Mubasher, the spokesman for Iran's National Security Committee, Ebrahim Rezaei, said Tehran is drafting legislation that would introduce fees related to "securing the strait", rather than conventional transit charges.

Rezaei stated that vessels would only be allowed to pass through the critical waterway in coordination with Iranian authorities, signalling tighter oversight of maritime traffic. He added that "hostile military vessels", particularly those from the United States and Israel, would be barred from passage entirely, while "friendly" ships could transit subject to prior coordination with Iranian forces.

He also emphasised that Iran rejects any role for the United States in managing or securing the strait.

Meanwhile, Iran's ISNA news agency reported comments from Iranian official Mahmoud Nabavian, who said some commercial ships may be permitted to cross the Strait of Hormuz after paying fees. Nabavian linked the potential reopening of the passage to a ceasefire in Lebanon, despite US President Donald Trump denying that the two issues were associated.

Iran has asserted that maritime movement through the Strait of Hormuz will be strictly controlled by Tehran, stating that passage will be allowed only through designated routes and under Iranian approval, amid escalating tensions with the United States over regional security and negotiations.

Speaker of the Islamic Republic of Iran's Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, said, "4- Passage through the Strait of Hormuz will be conducted based on the 'designated route' and with 'Iranian authorisation.' 5- Whether the Strait is open or closed and the regulations governing it will be determined by the field, not by social media."

On the other hand, US President Donald Trump on Friday (local time) said that any agreement with Iran would not take full effect until it is completely finalised, even as he claimed major diplomatic and security breakthroughs involving Tehran, Israel and Lebanon.

While speaking on ongoing developments in West Asia at the Turning Point USA event in Phoenix, Arizona, Trump said, "This will be a great and brilliant day for the world because Iran has just announced that the Strait of Hormuz is fully open and ready for business and full passage. But the naval blockade with the greatest navy in the world, from the greatest military the world has ever seen, we built it. During my first term, we built it...We'll remain in full force and effect as it pertains to Iran until such time as our transaction with Iran is 100 per cent complete and fully signed"

Earlier, Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmaeil Baghaei offered clarification on an earlier statement by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, Al Jazeera reported, citing the semi-official Tasnim news agency.

According to Al Jazeera, Baghaei said that "Shipping through the Strait of Hormuz will be allowed along a pre-determined route by Iran." He added, "If the maritime blockade of Iran's ports continues, Iran will take reciprocal measures," and asserted that "Iran is the guardian of the Strait of Hormuz and will show leniency where necessary."

Tehran has dismissed the possibility of any short-term pauses in hostilities, asserting that it is pushing for a total conclusion to warfare throughout the West Asian region, according to Al Jazeera.

Speaking to journalists during the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister, Saeed Khatibzadeh, emphasised that any potential truce must encompass every active battleground "from Lebanon to the Red Sea". He further categorised this broad scope as a "red line" for the Iranian government.

Elaborating on Tehran's rigid stance against incremental deals, Khatibzadeh told the press, "We are not accepting any temporary ceasefire." He maintained that the current wave of violence "should end here once and for all" rather than being merely paused.

The senior diplomat also addressed maritime security, specifically regarding the Strait of Hormuz. Al Jazeera reported his observations that while the vital shipping lane is located inside Iran's sovereign territory, it has historically been kept accessible for international passage.

Shifting the blame for regional volatility, Khatibzadeh pointed towards the United States and Israel. He claimed that they have been the catalysts for local unrest, which has subsequently damaged international commerce and the broader global financial system.

According to Al Jazeera, the Deputy Minister's remarks underscore Iran's refusal to engage in piecemeal diplomacy, instead demanding a comprehensive resolution to the multiple overlapping crises currently affecting the region.

This demand for a regional resolution comes as tensions peak at the United Nations, where Iran's Permanent Representative, Amir-Saeid Iravani, argued that stability in the Strait of Hormuz is contingent upon "full respect for Iran's sovereignty and rights." According to Iranian state media Press TV, Iravani's remarks were a direct response to a recently announced US "naval blockade" intended to pressure Tehran into ensuring the waterway remains open.

Addressing the legalities of the strategic corridor, Iravani asserted that freedom of navigation in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman is only achievable if the rights of coastal states are upheld. Per Press TV, he warned that Washington's measures constitute an "unlawful" act of aggression and a "flagrant breach" of the UN Charter, specifically Article 2(4), which prohibits the threat or use of force.

The diplomatic friction has been further compounded by military escalation on the ground. US Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed that American forces are actively enforcing a large-scale maritime blockade. This operation involves over 10,000 personnel, a dozen naval vessels, and more than 100 aircraft, aimed specifically at Iranian ports and the coastline.

Highlighting the effectiveness of these measures, US President Donald Trump stated that the Navy's performance has been "incredible," noting that the blockade is proceeding routinely with no ships attempting to bypass the American fleet. However, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Air Force Gen. Dan Caine, clarified to the media that the mission is a blockade of Iranian territory rather than the Strait of Hormuz itself, applying to all vessels regardless of nationality.

Amid these military manoeuvres, Iravani maintained that Iran has consistently upheld maritime security while accusing the US and Israel of targeting civilian infrastructure during a "40-day military assault." Despite the rhetoric, the envoy noted that Tehran remains open to diplomatic initiatives involving regional partners like Pakistan, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia, as well as China and Russia, to find a sustainable end to the crisis.&nbsp;

Global investment firm Jefferies in its latest report said that gold has entered a consolidation phase following a strong retail-driven buying surge seen late last year and early this year across key markets including India, China and the United States.

The report noted that the earlier rally in gold demand, particularly from retail investors, has started to moderate, indicating a stabilisation in prices after a period of heightened activity.

It stated, "gold has entered a healthy consolidation period after the retail-driven buying frenzy late last year and early this year".

Citing India as an example, the report highlighted that the country recorded gold imports worth USD 14.7 billion in October and USD 12.1 billion in January. However, this trend reversed sharply, with imports declining to USD 3.1 billion in March, reflecting a slowdown in buying momentum.

Jefferies described the current phase as a "healthy consolidation period" after the earlier surge in demand, suggesting that the market is adjusting following the retail-led rally.

From a gold mining perspective, the report noted a notable absence of excessive optimism at recent industry discussions. It highlighted that companies are focusing more on shareholder returns through rising dividends and stock buybacks rather than aggressive expansion strategies.

This marks a contrast with the previous bull market in gold mining stocks, which peaked in 2011, when significant capital was lost due to acquisitions made at the peak of the cycle.

The report further noted that mining companies are showing continued discipline in capital allocation despite favourable price conditions. The sector has recorded ten consecutive quarters of strong average gold prices, with many companies operating without debt.

According to estimates cited in the report, the North American gold mining sector is expected to generate around USD 36 billion in free cash flow in the current calendar year.

Based on these trends, Jefferies said it will maintain its exposure to gold mining stocks, with weightings of 10 per cent in global portfolios and 11 per cent in Asia ex-Japan portfolios.

The firm also indicated that it may increase its exposure if gold prices revisit the lower end of the current trading range, which it estimates to be between USD 3,800 and USD 4,000 per ounce, compared to the peak level of USD 5,595 per ounce recorded in late January.

The current gold prices are trading at USD 4804 per ounce (1 ounce = 28.3495 grams)

So the report suggests that while the gold market is undergoing a phase of consolidation, underlying fundamentals in the mining sector remain strong, supported by disciplined capital management and robust cash flow generation.

India's trade deficit outlook remains under pressure despite a temporary narrowing in March, with weak export momentum and rising import demand likely to keep the imbalance elevated in the near term, according to a report by Nuvama.

The report noted that India's goods trade deficit narrowed to USD 21 billion in March 2026 from USD 27 billion in February, primarily due to a decline in gold and oil imports. However, this improvement is seen as largely transient, with underlying weaknesses persisting.

"Core deficit (excluding oil and gold) widened... pointing to continued structural pressures on the trade balance," the report highlighted.

For the full financial year FY26, the trade deficit widened sharply to a record USD 333 billion, an increase of about USD 50 billion compared to the previous year. This pushed the goods deficit to around 8 per cent of GDP, up from 7 per cent in FY25, largely driven by elevated gold imports and steady growth in core imports.

The report underscored that export growth remains subdued, posing a key risk to the trade outlook. Goods exports grew just 1 per cent year-on-year in FY26, while services exports also moderated to 8 per cent from 12 per cent in the previous fiscal.

In March specifically, goods exports contracted 7 per cent year-on-year, reflecting broad-based weakness across sectors. Even electronics exports, previously a strong driver, saw growth slow significantly.

On the import side, while headline growth moderated due to a high base, core imports (excluding oil and gold) remained firm, growing around 8-10 per cent, led by demand for machinery, electronics, and chemicals.

The report cautioned that global uncertainties could further weigh on India's export outlook. "A potential shift from supply-side disruptions to a broader global demand slowdown could pose additional downside risks," it said.

Despite these challenges, depreciation in the Indian rupee may provide some relief by improving export competitiveness and partially containing the trade deficit.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is expected to address the Lok Sabha at 3 pm on Thursday, as the government prepares to introduce three key bills during the special session of Parliament. The proposed legislation includes measures on women's reservation and delimitation. From the BJP, the debate is set to be opened by Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal. Other party speakers are expected to include Bansuri Swaraj, Raksha Khadse, Aparajita Sarangi, Kangana Ranaut, and Dharmshila Gupta.

Three major bills are expected to be introduced. These include a proposal to reserve seats for women in the Lok Sabha elections from 2029 and another bill to redraw constituency boundaries. 
The opposition has raised concerns over the proposed changes, particularly the plan to redraw constituencies and increase the number of Lok Sabha seats from the current 543 to a maximum of 850.

The Constitution (One Hundred and Thirty-First Amendment) Bill, 2026, and the Delimitation Bill, 2026, are set to be introduced by Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal. The Union Territories Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026, will be introduced by Home Minister Amit Shah.

The Centre has called a special sitting of Parliament from April 16 to 18 to pass the amendment linked to the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam.

The Law Minister is also expected to move a proposal in the Lok Sabha to suspend provisions of Rule 66. The aim is to enable the Women's Reservation Amendment Bill and the Delimitation Bill to be taken up and passed together.

According to the motion, the House will "suspend the proviso to Rule 66 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business in Lok Sabha in its application to the motions for taking into consideration and passing of the Delimitation Bill, 2026 and the Union Territories Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2026 in as much as these are dependent upon the Constitution (One Hundred and Thirty-first Amendment) Bill, 2026".

The government has been seeking support from opposition parties to pass the amendment bill, which aims to implement women's reservation from the 2029 Lok Sabha elections based on the 2011 Census.

In its report, "Growth in the New Economy: Towards a Blueprint," the WEF outlines a shifting global landscape shaped by rapid artificial intelligence adoption, rising geopolitical tensions, mounting public and private debt, and increasing environmental and demographic pressures. These forces, it notes, are weakening traditional growth models and demanding new policy approaches.

Energy costs and political instability currently remain key constraints across regions. However, sectors such as IT services, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, and leisure are expected to emerge as major engines of growth in the years ahead.

The report identifies four core policy areas where governments and businesses must adopt strategic approaches while navigating complex trade-offs: Technology, productivity and human capital. Sustained growth will depend on improving productivity and investing in human capital.

Policymakers face choices between coordinated versus competition-driven innovation models, and between redistribution-focused and mobility-based inclusion strategies.

Global cooperation and domestic capacity: While leveraging comparative advantage and diversification remain key "no-regret" strategies, countries must balance global integration with strengthening domestic resilience, choosing between self-reliance and deeper international engagement.

WEF noted that middle-income economies are projected to contribute nearly two-thirds of global GDP growth by 2030, with Asia expected to account for over half of global growth. In contrast, low-income economies, despite faster growth rates, are expected to contribute only marginally.

In advanced economies, skill shortages and regulatory rigidities are major concerns, while in lower-income countries, access to finance and infrastructure gaps remain critical challenges.

Looking ahead, frontier technologies and the green energy transition are expected to drive investment, while rising debt, climate risks, and societal polarization could act as headwinds.

Demographic trends are also set to influence growth trajectories, with ageing populations slowing expansion in parts of Asia and Europe, while younger populations in regions such as the Middle East and Africa may support growth.

The report further notes that domestic corporate investment and foreign demand will be the primary drivers of growth over the next five years, as high public debt and weak income growth limit the role of public spending and consumption.

The findings are based on consultations with nearly 200 global leaders and a survey of over 11,000 executives across 118 countries conducted between 2024 and 2026.

As per the report, this represented the eleventh consecutive quarter of vacancy compression, taking levels below the 14 per cent threshold for the first time since the pandemic began.

The tightening market dynamics were driven by a significant moderation in new completions, which stood at 8.8 million square feet during the quarter. This figure reflected an 18 per cent decline compared to the same period last year, largely due to project delays.

While supply was constrained, the report noted that the gross leasing volume across the top eight cities reached approximately 22 million square feet, marking a 13 per cent year-on-year increase and remaining well above the quarterly averages seen over the last three years.

Gross leasing volume stood at ~22 MSF in Q1 2026, a 13 per cent increase over the same period last year, reflecting a robust demand across sectors."

Global Capability Centres anchored the market by leasing 8.7 million square feet during the quarter. From a sectoral perspective, the IT-BPM industry remained the largest contributor at 23 per cent of total leasing, followed by the BFSI sector at 21 per cent and flexible workspace operators at 18 per cent.

City-level data highlighted significant tightening in major hubs. Bengaluru continued to operate with a vacancy rate below 8 per cent, while Mumbai moved into a single-digit vacancy phase at approximately 9 per cent. Mumbai also emerged as the standout performer in leasing activity, recording its highest-ever quarterly volume of 6.6 million square feet.

"The market has entered 2026 with a clear supply-demand imbalance, where sustained occupier interest continues to outpace the availability of quality office space across key markets. This is reflected in the continued tightening of vacancy levels, particularly in Grade A and A+ assets across core micro-markets," Veera Babu, Executive Managing Director, Tenant Representation - India, Cushman &amp; Wakefield said.

"Occupiers are increasingly prioritising asset quality, location efficiency and readiness, with a clear preference for buildings that can support evolving workplace, technology and sustainability requirements. We expect vacancy levels to remain tight, especially in high-quality assets across established business districts," Babu added.

Limited availability has also pushed rental growth. Pan-India stock-weighted average rents crossed Rs 100 per square foot per month for the first time in Q1 2026. While approximately 61 million square feet of new supply is expected throughout the remainder of the year, the report suggested that strong pre-commitment trends will likely keep overall vacancy levels stable.

The data further highlighted that the total exports stood at USD 860.09 billion in 2025-26 compared to USD 825.26 billion in 2024-25. Imports increased from USD 919.92 billion in the previous financial year to around USD 970 billion in 2025-26.

As a result, the overall trade deficit (merchandise and services combined) widened to USD 119.30 billion in 2025-26 from USD 94.66 billion in 2024-25.

Merchandise exports saw a modest rise to USD 441.78 billion in 2025-26 from USD 437.70 billion in the previous year. Merchandise imports increased to USD 774.98 billion from USD 721.20 billion, reflecting higher inbound shipments.

Services exports continued to remain a strong contributor, rising to USD 418.31 billion in 2025-26 from USD 387.55 billion in 2024-25. Services imports also increased to USD 204.42 billion from USD 198.72 billion.

Data also showed that overall trade excluding petroleum, gems and jewellery maintained a balanced position. Exports in this category rose to USD 777.98 billion from USD 732.05 billion, while imports increased to USD 702.98 billion from USD 653.31 billion. The trade surplus, however, narrowed slightly to USD 75.00 billion from USD 78.74 billion by USD 3.74 billion.

Among key commodities, gold imports saw a rise in value, even as the quantity declined. The value of gold imports increased from USD 58.01 billion in 2024-25 to USD 71.98 billion in 2025-26. However, the quantity of gold imports fell from 757.09 tons to 721.03 tons, indicating that the increase was largely driven by higher prices. The unit value of gold rose from USD 76,617.48 per kg to USD 99,825.38 per kg.

Silver imports, on the other hand, recorded a sharp increase in both value and quantity. The value of silver imports rose significantly from USD 4.83 billion in 2024-25 to USD 12.05 billion in 2025-26. The quantity surged from 5,164.37 tons to 7,334.96 tons, and the unit value also increased from USD 934.72 per kg to USD 1,642.93 per kg.

Over the longer term, data show that India's overall trade deficit has remained elevated. The deficit stood at USD 121.62 billion in 2022-23 and moderated to USD 78.39 billion in 2023-24 before rising again to USD 94.66 billion in 2024-25 and further to USD 119.30 billion in 2025-26.&nbsp;

In a statement released on Truth Social, President Trump confirmed that the United States Navy would begin intercepting vessels in the region immediately to prevent Iran from profiting from the passage.

"Effective immediately, the United States Navy, the Finest in the World, will begin the process of BLOCKADING any and all Ships trying to enter, or leave, the Strait of Hormuz," Trump stated.

The President indicated that while the goal is to return to a status where all ships are allowed passage, the current blockade is necessary due to Iranian actions and claims regarding maritime mines.

"At some point, we will reach an 'ALL BEING ALLOWED TO GO IN, ALL BEING ALLOWED TO GO OUT' basis, but Iran has not allowed that to happen by merely saying, 'There may be a mine out there somewhere,' that nobody knows about but them. THIS IS WORLD EXTORTION, and Leaders of Countries, especially the United States of America, will never be extorted," the President said.

Financial markets reacted to the heightened geopolitical tension as trading opened for the week. Dow Jones Futures fell by 344.57 points, or 0.72 per cent, to 47,572.00. While the Nasdaq and S&amp;P 500 had closed with marginal gains in the previous session on April 11.

The President further highlighted that the US Navy has orders to interdict vessels that have complied with Iranian demands for tolls in international waters.

"I have also instructed our Navy to seek and interdict every vessel in International Waters that has paid a toll to Iran. No one who pays an illegal toll will have safe passage on the high seas. We will also begin destroying the mines the Iranians laid in the Straits," Trump added.

Trump also suggested that other nations would be involved in the operation to ensure the blockade remains effective.

"Any Iranian who fires at us, or at peaceful vessels, will be BLOWN TO HELL! Iran knows, better than anyone, how to END this situation which has already devastated their Country. Their Navy is gone, their Air Force is gone, their Anti Aircraft and Radar are useless, Khomeini, and most of their 'Leaders,' are dead, all because of their Nuclear ambition," the statement read.

The US administration maintained that the military remains prepared for further engagement if the situation escalates beyond the blockade.

"Additionally and, at an appropriate moment, we are fully 'LOCKED AND LOADED,' and our Military will finish up the little that is left of Iran!" Trump stated.

The collapse of high-stakes "Islamabad Talks" between the United States and Iran has sent shockwaves through the international community, with experts warning that the world is now standing at the edge of a global economic catastrophe. In a stark assessment, Foreign affairs expert Robinder Sachdev told ANI that the breakdown of negotiations is a "unfortunate" development for all parties, including India, signalling a dangerous escalation where "hard lines have been drawn."

Sachdev added, "The fact that the talks did not yield positive results is unfortunate for all parties concerned--the United States, Iran, the region, and even India. This failure signals continued conflict with significant ripple effects on the world economy. Hard lines have been drawn, and while there is a hope that both parties might step back from the brink during the remaining days of the ceasefire, the alternative is that they may let loose the dogs of war," he said.

Despite the US delegation, led by Vice President JD Vance, praising Pakistan's mediation, no agreement was reached. Sachdev noted that the conflict has revealed a significant limitation of American military power: the inability to force open the Strait of Hormuz.

"The main sticking points were the Strait of Hormuz, nuclear enrichment, and other fundamental disagreements. Despite being battered and damaged by American and Israeli forces, Iran has chosen not to yield to American demands. Their primary concerns remain sovereignty over their nuclear program and control over the Strait of Hormuz. In fact, the Strait of Hormuz has emerged as a new 'super weapon' in this conflict," he said.

Sachdev added, "It has been tested and bombarded, yet the Americans have not been able to force it open to commercial traffic despite their military might. This has shown Iran that they should never relinquish the control they have asserted over this vital waterway."

Despite being battered by American and Israeli forces, Iran has realised that using small submarines, torpedoes, and mines can stop commercial shipping entirely.

"The strategic reality is that the Strait of Hormuz is now a battle-tested asset for Iran. The Strait has been proven as an effective chokehold. They may even move toward a system where they require coordination or a "toll" for safe passage through the highway of the Strait. "The bottom line is that the Strait of Hormuz cannot be opened solely through military intervention. Insurance companies are refusing to provide maritime insurance to tankers and ships in a war zone. Without insurance, no commercial ship will enter the area, regardless of how many warships the US sends to escort them," he said.

According to Sachdev, the "red lines" for Tehran remain non-negotiable; Iran refuses to surrender its right to enrichment, control over the waterway is now seen as Iran's primary defence against Western economic pressure and Iran is demanding the release of frozen funds in Qatar and the U.S., as well as compensation for infrastructure damage.

"Other issues included reparations and compensation for damages, as well as the release of Iranian funds blocked in Qatar and the US. There is also the issue of Lebanon, which many believe must be bundled into any peace deal. While the situation in Lebanon might have been solvable if the US pressured Prime Minister Netanyahu to restrict his "Greater Israel" project, the core red lines remain. Iran appears ready to declare an end to nuclear weapon aspirations, but it will not surrender their sovereignty over enrichment. This, combined with their control of the Strait, presents a massive problem for the world economy," he said.

Earlier on April 9, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal AP Singh, on an official visit to the United States, visited the Peterson Space Force Base to engage in high-level strategic discussions.

During the visit, the Air Chief Marshal interacted with General Gregory M Guillot, the Commander of US NORTHCOM.

Marking the visit, the US Ambassador to India, Sergio Gor, shared his welcome in a post on X, stating, "We welcome Air Chief Marshal AP Singh to the U.S. and look forward to increased cooperation with India."

The engagement underscored the expanding military synergy between the two nations. 
The Indian Air Force noted that the leaders held a "productive exchange of perspectives on complex operational modalities," reflecting the growing depth of the bilateral defence partnership.

The Air Chief Marshal's arrival in the United States on April 6 set the stage for these high-level interactions, aimed at further strengthening the India-US defence partnership.

Upon his landing, he was received by the Indian Ambassador to the US, Vinay Mohan Kwatra.

In a post on X, Ambassador Kwatra expressed his "pleasure to host and welcome CAS, Indian Air Force Air Chief Marshal Amar Preet Singh as he begins his visit to the United States to further strengthen the India-US defence partnership and sustain the strong and growing ties between the two Air Forces."&nbsp;

The US and Indian Air Chiefs held high-level engagements in Arlington to advance defence cooperation, a statement by the Indian Air Force said.&nbsp;The engagements focused on enhancing interoperability and joint training, among other things.

The National Stock Exchange of India on Friday said that it has deployed its Immediate Acknowledgement feature across Currency Derivatives, Commodity, Derivatives, Cash (Capital Market), and Equity Derivatives from April 11, delivering order acknowledgement in nanoseconds for median and mean observations, a significant improvement over the previous system response time of 100 microseconds.

"This milestone represents a transformative upgrade to NSE's trading infrastructure, reinforcing India's position at the forefront of global exchange technology and furthering the Exchange's commitment to building a transparent, efficient, and world-class capital markets ecosystem," NSE said in its press release.

NSE further said that under the enhanced process flow, every order sent to the NSE trading system now receives an immediate acknowledgement within nanoseconds. This real-time receipt confirmation is followed by the standard processing and confirmation or rejection message, ensuring that market participants can track order receipt instantaneously, with dramatically improved certainty and transparency. Currently, there is no other exchange in the world who is claiming to be giving response time in nanoseconds.

The exchange said the new immediate acknowledgement feature was introduced in a phased manner. The new feature for Currency Derivatives came into effect on July 1, 2025 and for Commodity Derivatives, it was deployed on December 13, 2025. The immediate acknowledgement feature for Capital markets/ equities and Equity Derivatives will come into effect from April 11.

NSE further noted that the advanced feature is a first in the world, and it will help enhance market transparency by providing Real-time order acknowledgement, which provides members with instant visibility into order receipt, eliminating uncertainty in the order lifecycle.

Market participants can now track every order in real time, enabling faster decision-making and improved risk management. "The speed enhancement underscores NSE's commitment to maintaining infrastructure that rivals, and leads, the world's most advanced exchanges. The phased coexistence model ensures zero disruption to ongoing trading operations while transitioning to the new framework," NSE said in its press release.
