IPL 2023: How Rinku Singh hits five sixes in a row with a bat from KKR skipper Nitish Rana
Kolkata Knight Riders captain Nitish Rana said that he was hesitant to give his bat to Rinku, but someone gave it to Rinku and he did wonders
Kolkata Knight Riders batsman Rinku Singh became the talk of the town after he hit five consecutive sixes to snatch the win from Gujarat Titans' jaws and help his team register a sensational last-ball win in an IPL 2023 match in Kolkata on Sunday.
Rinku said that the change in fortunes in the match came after he switched his bat from skipper Nitish Rana.
Rana said in the post-match interview that he was initially hesitant to give the bat to
Rinku, but someone gave it to him, and he played an outstanding knock.
"This is my bat, and I played both matches (this season) with this bat. I have played the entire Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and the last four to five matches of last year with this bat," Rana said after the last-ball victory.
"Today Rinku asked me for my bat. I didn't want to give him the bat initially. But somebody brought my bat from the dressing room."

Kolkata needed 28 balls in five balls in Gujarat bowler Yash Dayal's last over.
Rinku fired five consecutive sixes to seal a sensational three-wicket win for KKR. The batsman remained not out on 48 runs off 21 balls and was adjudged Man-of-the-Match for his memorable innings.

Happy with his sterling performance, skipper Rana announced that he would gift the bat to Rinku.
"I had a feeling he would pick the bat as it has a nice pick up and is a light bat that suits my weight. So, now this bat belongs to Rinku," the skipper said in a video posted on KKR's official handle.

KKR coach Chandrakant Pandit compared Rinku's knock with Ravi Shastri's six sixes in a Ranji Trophy match in 1985 and Javed Miandad's match-winning six in Sharjah in 1985.
"In 43 years of my cricket career, as a coach and as a cricketer, I have seen similar innings only two times. One is Ravi Shastri scoring six sixes in the Ranji Trophy and second, Javed Miandad in Dubai, Sharjah, and I am seeing you (Rinku).
