MIT researchers have invented a robot in order to cut down on the time consumed in sorting recyclable materials by jus touching them. Called RoCycle, the robotic system is capable of automatically identifying and sorting recyclable materials using pressure sensors, Mashable reported. The sensors identify the materials based on the amount of pressure exerted on them. There are chances of human error when it comes to identifying materials, however, RoCycle is able to differentiate between paper, metal, and plastic with 85 percent accuracy just by touching them. After identifying the material, it automatically drops them in the right bin.
China wants to ban Bitcoin for wasting resources

The country is proposing to ban the practice of mining the cryptocurrency for wasting resources. The National Development and Reform Commission, the country's chief planning regulator, is proposing to ban Bitcoin mining, which it says has seriously wasted resources, Engadget reports.

After declining any compensation or benefits for the past three years, Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey took home USD 1.40 in salary last year. As CNET reports, it was the first time Dorsey took the salary since his return to the micro-blogging site in 2015. He declined all compensation in the previous years for Twitter's long-term value creation potential. His salary comes out to one cent for each of the 140 characters Twitter users were previously allowed to include in tweets.
