Ripudaman Singh Malik, acquitted in 1985 Air India bombing, shot dead in Canada

Ripudaman Singh Malik, who was acquitted in the 1985 Air India terrorist bombing, was on Thursday shot dead in Canada's British Columbia province. According to Canadian authorities, he was possibly killed in a targeted shooting, a PTI report said.

CCI approves proposed acquisition of AirAsia India by Air India

Competition Commission of India on Tuesday said it has approved the proposed acquisition of the entire shareholding of AirAsia India Ltd by Air India Ltd. AirAsia India is a joint venture between TSPL and Air India Investment Limited (AAIL), with TSPL presently holding 83.67 percent and AAIL owning a 16.33 percent stake.

The special thing is that the employees will also be given a cash incentive on retirement. The circular related to this has been issued on Wednesday. Talking about the existing rules, such employees whose age is more than 55 years and they have given their service in the company for more than 20 years, only those employees could take advantage of VRS.
