'Revival of MSMEs main focus areas of Tamil Nadu govt for economic growth'
The government is looking to set up a Defence park at Sulur, and an industrial park at Annur on the city outskirts.
The revival of MSMEs is one of the main focus areas of the Tamil Nadu government for economic growth, industries minister Thangam Thennarasu said here on Tuesday.
"We need to focus on the MSMEs for economic growth, he said while addressing the 'Industrial Growth Conclave-Western Region, jointly organised by the Tamil Nadu Investment Corporation (TIIC) and CII here.
Stating that TIIC would extend stimulus for the growth of MSMEs, he said that the Government will also work for strengthening traditional industries
The export policy will be released soon, even as the government had seen to it that no exporting units were affected even during the pandemic, he said.

TIIC Chairman and Managing Director Hans Raj Verma, Software Technology Park of India Director, Sanjay Tyagi and the District Collector G S Sameeran also addressed the conclave.
