Gold Price Today: Yellow metal climbs to 8-month high ahead of US inflation data - Check rates in Delhi, Mumbai and other cities

Gold Price Today: Gold price on Wednesday, January 11, hit 8-month high ahead of the US inflation data for December, slated to be released on Thursday. The December CPI inflation data will set the tone for the Federal Reserve's interest rate policy when it meets the next later this month. 

The price of yellow metal zoomed to multi-month high amid subdued dollar even as it traded in a tight range as traders await for inflation data.

Gold, Silver Prices on MCX
On Multi Commodity Exchange, Gold February futures traded high at Rs 55,911 per 10 grams in afternoon trade. The price of the precious metal was up by 0.36 per cent at 3:15 PM. 

Likewise, Silver also traded high on the MCX. Silver March futures traded at Rs 69,050 per kg, up by 1 per cent.

Gold, Silver Prices Globally
In the international market, spot gold was up 0.3 per cent at $1,883.48 per ounce, while Spot silver rose 1.1 per cent to $23.88.
