IRCTC, NBCC, Hindustan Zinc, Vedanta: Stocks to watch on Thursday

Stocks to watch on Thursday: At 08:28 AM, GIFT Nifty traded  18 points, or 0.08 per cent lower at 21,224.5, indicating a muted to negative start for domestic equities on December 14, Thursday.

Indian equities ahead of the key US Fed outcome later today ended a tad higher led by gains in the realty, auto and pharma pack. The Nifty 50 index ended 0.1 per cent ,or 19.95 points up at 20,926.35, while BSE Sensex marginally higher by 0.05 per cent, or 33.57 points at 69,584.6

Here are some stocks that will be in focus on Thursday, December 14:

NBCC:

The civil construction company has been awarded a Rs 1500 crore contract for the construction of 1469 warehouse and other agri-infrastructure under the World''s largest Grain Storage Plan in Cooperative Sector at various locations across the country. 

IRCTC:

The railways entity informed that it is eyeing major expansion in non-railway catering business across the country.

Reliance Industries:

The rating agency Moody’s has affirmed the company’s BAA2 rating, with a stable outlook.

Sundram Fasteners:

The auto components company has received an order imposing a penalty under the provisions of Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. 

Fusion Micro Finance:

As per reports, Warburg Pincus and 1 other entity is likely to offload stake in the entity via a block deal today.

Vedanta:

The company will deliberate on the second interim dividend for FY24 in its board meeting on December 18. The diversified minerals company has launched a liability management exercise to restructure $3.8 billion of repayments maturing in next 3 years. Further S&P has reduced the rating of bonds.

Defence stocks in focus:

The defence ministry has approved a Rs 2,800 crore proposal to purchase about 6,400 rockets for the Pinaka Multi-Barrel Rocket Launcher System. For the same, the two main contenders are Solar Industries and Munitions India. From the private sector, the entities that will be part of the project are L&T, Tata Defence and Economic Explosive.

South Indian Bank:

The initial investigation reveals the case of fraud by an employee of around Rs 28.07 crore.

Axis Bank:

In the previous day's block deal in the lender, there were 27 buyers including the likes of UBS, Morgan stanley, Societe General, Goldman Sachs etc.

NTPC:

UBS has initiated a buy on the utility firm for a target of Rs 330. 

Metal stocks:

Metal stocks chiefly Hindalco and NALCO will gain focus as the US metal index has climbed 3.3 per cent.

Goa Carbon:

The Supreme Court allowed the state government to collect green cess from the company.
SC ordered that the company pay 50% of the demand of the tax department. Further, it has stayed the payment of remaining 50% of the demand amount till further orders or the matter is concluded.

Corporate actions:

Hindustan Zinc will trade ex-dividend in respect of its interim dividend of Rs 6 per share announced for FY24.

Lloyds Engineering Works: The company's stock will trade ex-rights for the rights issue of 1 share for every 17 shares held being offered for Rs 15.5 per share.

Teamo Productions: Shares of the civil construction will trade ex-split for a 1:10 stock split.
