Share Market HIGHLIGHTS: Domestic equity indices settled lower for the second consecutive day on Thursday, October 19, amid broad-based selling in financial stocks. At close, S&P BSE Sensex was down 247.78 points, or 0.38 per cent, at 65,629.24 and NSE Nifty was down 46.4 points, or 0.24 per cent, at 19,624.7.
In the broader market, the Nifty Mid Cap 100 ended flat, whereas the Small Cap 100 settled in positive territory. On the sectoral front, Nifty Bank also ended lower by 0.31 per cent at 43,754.5.

Cinema chain operator PVR INOX reports a consolidated net profit of Rs 166.3 crore for the July-September period on Thursday, as against a net loss of Rs 81.6 crore for the previous three months. The company's revenue for the second quarter of the current financial year increases 53.3 per cent on a sequential basis to Rs 1,999.9 crore, according to a regulatory filing. Wipro: Wipro on Wednesday, October 18, reported a 7.5 per cent quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) drop in its consolidated net profit at Rs 2,667.3 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2023 (Q2FY24). The company had posted a profit of Rs 2,886 crore in the previous quarter. On a YoY basis; however, the figure grew by 0.68 per cent.
LTIMindtree: Shares of the software services firm will gain focus after its Q2 numbers were released on Wednesday. The company posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 1,162 crore during the quarter under review, marking an over 2 per cent decline year-on-year. The company's net profit in the September quarter of FY23 came in at Rs 1,188 crore.
Bajaj Auto: Shares of the auto major will see traction after the company’s consolidated net profit for the Q2 period increased to Rs 2,020 crore from Rs 1,719 crore during the same period last fiscal. Read more
