Share Market Today | Nifty reclaims 17,800, Sensex takes rally to 2,779 pts in eight days; TCS up 1% ahead of Q4 results today

Both headline indices hold on to much of their intraday gains at the closing bell. The Sensex ends 235.1 points or 0.4 per cent higher for the day at 60,392.8, taking its rally to 2,779.1 points in eight back-to-back sessions. During the session, the 30-scrip index rose as much as 343 points in intraday trade.

The Nifty settles at 17,812.4, up 90.1 points or 0.5 per cent from its previous close. During the session, the headline index broadly moved within the 17,700-17,850 band.

TCS Results Today | Analysts expect Tata group IT major's Q4 profit to have grown nearly 7% to Rs 11,600 crore vs Q3  

According to Zee Business research, TCS is likely to report a net profit of Rs 11,600 crore for the January-March 2023 period, as against a net profit of Rs 10,846 crore for the previous three months. They estimate its revenue growth at 1.7 per cent sequentially to Rs 59,200 crore.

Nestle India shares slide deeper into the red after dividend announcement 

Nestle India (NESTLEIND) shares decline by as much as Rs 242.7 or 1.2 per cent to Rs 19,429.3 apiece on BSE, after the FMCG giant announces a dividend of Rs 27 per equity share of face value of Rs 10. 

The company's board said the payout will be made on and from May 8 along with the final dividend for the year 2022, if approved by the members at its 64th AGM on April 12.

BHEL shares hit over two-week high, Titagarh Wagons 52-week high after their consortium bags mega Rs 9,600 crore Bande Bharat order 

BHEL shares gain as much as 3.3 per cent to Rs 74.3 apiece on BSE — their highest intraday level since March 24. Titagarh Wagons shares surge 7.7 per cent to a 52-week high of Rs 310 apiece on the bourse.

ITC shares make a U-turn after coming within inches of Rs 400 on Tuesday

Stock Market Today LIVE | Casino and & gaming company Delta Corp's shares hold on to the green after Q4 results

Delta Corp shares rise by Rs 3.5 or 1.8 per cent to touch Rs 192.5 on BSE at the strongest level of the day so far, a day after the Mumbai-headquartered operator of casinos reported its financial results for the quarter ended March 2023.

Delta Corp reported a 6.4 per cent year-on-yera increase in net profit to Rs  51.2 crore for the January-March period. Its revenue went up 4.1 per cent to Rs 227 crore. Its margin, however, came in at 26.4 per cent, as against 31.6 per cent for the year-ago period.

• Nestle India: The consumer products company's board is meeting today to consider a dividend.  
• HDFC Bank: The country's largest lender by market value will consider raising debt of Rs 50,000 crore over the next one year.
• BHEL, Titagarh Wagons: A consortium of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited and Titagarh Wagons (BHEL-TWL Consortium) has bagged an order for 80 Vande Bharat trains in a tender of Indian Railways.
• Delta Corp: The Mumbai-headquartered casino and gaming company's net profit grow 6.4 per cent on a year-on-year basis to Rs  51.2 crore. Its revenue increases 4.1 per cent to Rs 227 crore. 
• IndusInd Bank: Japanese lender JICA teams up with Citibank to provide a $125 million funding line to IndusInd Bank, according to news agency PTI.
• Sula Vineyards: The wine producer says sales volume from its own brands are up 15 per cent in the quarter ended March 2023, and wine tourism sales up 18 per cent.
