Federal Bank reports a standalone net profit of Rs 854 crore for the quarter ended June 2023, marking a jump of 42 per cent compared with the corresponding period a year ago. The private sector lender's net profit exceeded analysts' estimates. Read more 

Share Market Today LIVE | SpiceJet zooms over 7% after airline's promoter Ajay Singh decides to infuse Rs 500 crore

Shares of SpiceJet trade at Rs 31.82, up by Rs 0.66 or 2.12 per cent on NSE. The shares of the second largest airline in India by number of domestic passengers carried — zoomed on Thursday after the airline's promoter and Chairman Ajay Singh decided to infuse Rs 500 crore into the airline through preference shares, that will help boost budget carrier's financial position as well as tap additional funds from a government scheme.

The stock opened at Rs 33 and gained as much as 7.5 per cent to touch the day's high of Rs 33.5 from the previous close of Rs 31.16 on NSE. SpiceJet in a statement said the fresh equity infusion by Singh, who is also the Chairman and Managing Director, will help the carrier in accessing additional credit facilities of Rs 206 crore under the Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS). Wipro Q1 preview | Q2FY24 growth guidance and Consulting business outlook eyed

Wipro, the Thierry Delaporte-led IT services firm, is scheduled to release its June quarter numbers (Q1FY24) today (July 13) post-market hours. TCS and HCL Tech have already declared their Q1 numbers, and while TCS beat Street estimates on the net profit front, the overall results were subdued. HCL Tech maintained its revenue guidance for FY24 at 6–8 per cent in constant currency (CC) terms and EBIT margin at 18-19 per cent. However, its net profit and margin were below estimates. Moreover, in its concall, TCS said it was cautious about the near-term outlook. Read more

Share Market Today LIVE | TCS shares rise after Tata group IT major's Q1 results meet analysts' estimates

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) shares rises on Thursday, a day after the Tata group giant — the country's biggest IT services company — reported a set of quarterly financial results that were in line with analysts' estimates. TCS shares gain by as much as Rs 49.8 or 1.5 per cent to Rs 3,310 apiece in morning deals on BSE. 

TCS Q1 results  

After market hours on Wednesday, TCS reported a 2.8 per cent decline in net profit to Rs 11,074 crore for the June quarter on a sequential basis. Its revenue expanded 0.4 per cent on a quarter-on-quarter basis to Rs 59,381 crore. The IT major's operating margin, however, contracted by 130 basis points to 23.2 per cent. Read more

TCS: The IT bellwether, reported on Wednesday a consolidated net profit of Rs 11,074 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2023 (Q1FY24). On a year-on-year (YoY) basis, the profit grew 16.8 per cent while on a QoQ basis, the profit declined 2.79 per cent. TCS also declared an interim dividend of Rs 9 per share.

Wipro: The IT services firm is slated to release its Q1 earnings today. 

HCL Technologies reported on July 12 a consolidated net profit of Rs 3,534 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2023 (Q1FY24). The company had posted a profit of Rs 3,983 crore in the previous quarter and Rs 3,283 crore in the year-ago period. On a sequential basis, the profit slipped by 11.2 per cent while on a year-on-year (YoY) basis, the figure grew by 7.6 per cent. Revenue from operations came in at Rs 26,296 crore, up 12 per cent YoY but down 1.16 per cent on a QoQ basis. Read more
